Review: My wife was quoted a price of $50 for two rooms. An appointment was made for Friday since we have guests coming for the weekend.1- [redacted] wrote down the wrong date.2- [redacted] gave his "guy" the wrong address, so they were late.3- The guy was late and sat in his car for 10 minutes.4- A long presentation was made for all the services.My wife was not told about the "2-step" process over the phone. In California, we had our carpet cleaned for $50 and that carpet had been vomited on!It was left clean.Our carpets now are not anywhere as dirty as the our last place.4- After the long presentation my wife expected a decent job for the price quoted.5- The guy asked to use our restroom and he asked to use our water to do the job.6- When he finally got to it,the first room looked mediocre. My wife complained and the guy told her that it was because she hadn't chosen the "2-step" process.She said she wasn't told about that over the phone,nor was it on the ad on Craigslist. The guy said that they don't present that on the ad because they won't get customers.That it was not lying, but that they weren't giving all the information;that sometimes honesty doesn't pay off. 7- The guy finished the rooms in less time that it took him to give my wife his lengthy presentation.It took less than 15 minutes for him to clean 2 rooms.At one point the guy looked like he was pretending to clean!The guy was an okay individual but appeared to be on some kind of stimulant and was extremely unprofessional. Offered her the "2step" cleaning for $70.Kept bothering her about it "only being $20 more." To be fair he said he would throw in the area rug cleaning for free, but by that point my wife was unsure. We've had our carpets cleaned before & thought $50 was fair for both parties. If the guy had been professional & the work looked reasonable my wife would have paid the $50+ the extra fee to clean the area rug. That's what we did in our last place.My wife texted her complaints to [redacted]. He said he would fix it. No call back.Desired Settlement: I respect any small business owner, but honesty is the best policy. A half-assed job deserves a half price. I know it costs money to drive to our residence. It would be fair to have a $25 refund since my wife gave him $50 in hopes that [redacted] would come through. My wife has the text messages from [redacted]. Including the one that he would fix the poor job. She said that he sounded like a nice person, but unfortunately that he was unprofessional.
