To whom this may concern: We are so sorry the patient does not feel she received the best service possible from our practice. We strive to provide an excellent experienceWe endeavor to be clear when communicating associated costs and risks so there are no surprises for our patients.
The goal of our staff is to keep our patients comfortable in a friendly environment. We work hard to constantly improve our practice and truly appreciate feedback In a eleven years with a very busy private practice in Louisville, this is the very first complaint we have ever had from the Revdex.com I would like to directly address the concerns presented in the complaint letter. Typically implant consultations in my office require to visits depending on the complexity of the case. We do a complete intraoral exam, review medical history, discuss various treatment options with myself and my dental implant coordinator, review video animations and x-rays with follow up discussion, risks and benefits reviewed, taking diagnostic models and photos, evaluate occlusion and other dental needs, fabricate surgical guides, etcWe only charge for one initial consultation fee for all of these services. The ADA provides billing codes for surgical guides, photos and other services that we could bill for but we provide for free as a service to our patients and to not create a large itemized bill. In my eleven years in practice we have never offered free consultations. Therefore, I know this was never discussed because this is not an option at my office. Some offices do provide “free” consultations but then add other hidden fees. We have chosen to provide a very thorough complete honest assessment with one fee and not to deliver a free sales pitch. As a surgical office we have emergencies and patients can present with unforeseen complicated cases that sometimes cause our office to not always run on time. We do offer to re-schedule if we need to with a particular patient. We do provide free estimates for proposed treatments. However, and exam and consultation are needed to determine what services if any are needed for the particular patient Lastly, I have very good documented notes in our practice software of the consultation appointment circa March 21, 2016. The patient reported she was rushed for time that day but mainly wanted us to provide fees. We informed her she had minimal space for a dental implant and that we needed a CT scan ( a service we provide) to assess bone and determine if she was a dental implant candidate. She had to leave hastily prior to scheduling. In closing, I feel like she took a very valuable consultation time slot in our busy schedule to assess and evaluate her dental condition We did educate the patient and spent time with her consulting on treatment optionsI am willing to use the ADA code Dwhich is a limited oral evaluation-problem focus for this patient. I feel this is more than a fair resolution. Please let us know if you need any further information or if there is anything we can do Respectfully, ** *** ** *** ***

I have contacted this practice and disputed charges from my 3/21/visitI have spoken to *** *** in JuneShe states that I am still responsible for this chargesI have mailed them a letter again explaining why I am disputing the charges and no response from them to datePlease see letter attached
