Review: I took my 2001 Dogde Caravan into Eastside Automotive in June of 2013 to repair an oil leak that was stemming from a damaged steering rack. The owner of the business, [redacted], told me the repair would only take a couple of days. The repair was taking longer so I phoned in and another employee explained to me that rebuilding used parts was really hard and took time. I never approved the use of used parts. When I stated this, I was told that there were no new parts available for my van, so I let it go, but expressed that they should really let people know that BEFORE hand. I got my van back and paid the full price and was mostly satisfied. The van still felt weird to drive, but figured it was just because my van is getting older. Well over time, the van started making louder and louder noises (which I thought were emitting from the brakes) so I took it into [redacted] yesterday to get my brakes fixed. [redacted] informed me that whomever did the repair work on my steering rack did a terrible job and the didn't bolt the cradle back into place. I was also told the van was unsafe to drive. I called [redacted] immediately and he said he couldn't remember exactly my van but he thinks its the one that had a bunch of busted up bolts and they decided not to fix it because it would take a lot more work and cost a bunch more money. I guess they decided to NOT tell me that either. My boyfriend tried to take the van in this morning as we were instructed by [redacted] and the female employee turned him away and when I called to find out why she turned him away I was told that she did "not want to be a part of this" and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: an apology for being treated poorly, female employee written up or something for her terrible customer service. My van in safe working condition. I no longer trust Eastside, so if a third party could be involved to ensure the safety of my vehicle that would be great.

onderful shop with extremely knowledgeable staff! We were driving through Ellensburg on our way to Portland when our Subaru Outback started shaking and spitting out plumes of smoke. Having no idea what had happened to the car, we looked online for a good auto shop and Eastside Automotive showed up with very positive reviews.
We called and the owner said he could see us right away. Luckily we were extremely close so we were able to drive the car a couple short blocks to the shop. It took only a couple hours for them to figure out what was wrong and fix it then we were ready to continue on our way! The mechanics said the problem was not something that normally would have been easy to identify, a faulty O2 sensor. We were very lucky that they did!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent auto shop! Prices were great too.
