I went to Estes park for my birthdayI had booked a room at the Estes Village InnI have not problem with booking the roomI booked through ***However, went I walked in to check-inI noticed that the chearea had a very heavy cigarette smellThe attendant said that there had smoke who keep walking through the so-to-speak clubhouse smoking and that promised that "our rooms are smoke free"I checked in with no problems
I found my room with no problemHowever, I know that I had made a mistake by coming to Estes Village Inn because that were cigarette butts
and trash everywhere around my room, the parking lots and the smell of cigarette was in the air
I walked into my room and immediately noticed that there were holes in the walls, the ceiling in the bathroom was showing bare drywall, the tile was coming away from the wall in the bath areaThe toilet paper bracket was just about the fall the wallThe carpets have not been cleaned in a very long time and

I am rejecting this response because: the email they sent to confirm the reservation had instructions on how to cancelI followed those instructions and received a cancellation confirmation emailIt is unfortunate that their systems were not working properlyThe front desk clerk acknowledged as much when he contacted me since the incident indicating that they were working with technical support on the matterI have included the two cancellation confirmation emails

We booked our stay Estes Village Inn over the phone with an employee of the hotel, named Brenda from June 24th to July 2nd She was very courteous and confirmed a few details as we went along We called the hotel about three times before finally making our booking to confirm things such as price, dates, availability of breakfast, WIFI and location
On the 8th June via phone with Brenda, we were given a total price of $for the duration of our stay, including all applicable taxes and surcharges We thought this was incorrect since other local hotel's were charging more, around $per night, and so we called back to reconfirm the quoted price before giving our credit card information to secure the reservation Brenda explained that Friday-Saturday ($135) and Sunday-Thursday ($99) rates differ and that the quoted price was indeed correct Therefore, we went ahead and made the reservation over the phone with confirmation number ***

The room that we rented on 9/23/was filthy Hair in the tub, bedding was dirty, hair in bedding, bugs on the floor We arrived late, my wife is handicapped and we needed a ground floor room

We made our reservation on line and had to secure it with our cardThe reservation was for 05/thru 05/16/for a total of nightsWe arrived to check in and we told them that we were going to pay cash and no charges on our cardthe morning of 05/we went to the lobby for the breakfast listed startingThe owner informed us that the breakfast started at AMWe told him it was posted at 6;AM in our roomHe told us that we would either have to come back or go in town to eatWe left our room to go sight seeing and did not return until 6:PM, only to find that our room had not been touchedThe bed had not been made, trash not emptied, our dirty towels still on the floorWe went to the lobby to inquire and was told by the owner that they did not have time to clean itWe told them that we paid for a service and expected to receive the serviceThe owner his told us that it was too late for them to do anythingThe alarm clock did not work, the ice machines did not wor

There were some confusion in handling cheby our new front desk person who neglected to mark cash payment by Mr*** when he checked-inOn May 15th the
manager thought the front desk person forgot to charge so he charged to his credit cardWhen he found out from Mr*** that he paid by cash, he issued credit in the amount of $on May 17thRegarding $he mentioned in his letter, the manager refunded cash before Mr*** left the premise.We called Mr*** twice and left message to confirm from him but we have not heard from him, yet.We are sure he received credit by nowWe apologize for our employeeThe employee is no longer with us and we discovered that she was drinking on the job.We apologize deeply for creating the confusion.Mary

This is by far any away the absolute WORST Hotel/Motel I have ever stayed inWe were there from 9/14-9/16/The room charge is exorbitant to begin withThere was no Maid Service the entire time we were thereOnce the entry card had been inserted and the green light came on, we had to literally force the door to get it openThe carpet was dirtyThe bed blankets had big holes and cigarette burnsThe in-room sofa had only legsThe hot water was on the right side of the faucetsThe property washy trashy, with litter everywhereNo landscapingNo lawns for the dogsNo lighted stairs - stairs made of badly shaped railroad ties"Continental breakfast" was one loaf of bread, one toaster, two small boxes of mini rolls and bitter black coffeePeriodThey claim to be under renovation, but the place hasn't seen an upgrade in many yearsThe pool was drained and full of trash and old building materialsThe dumpster over-flowed with weeks of trashThe so called "Manager" had excuses for everythingSave your money! You'd be better off and more safe in a tent in the middle of a bear colony, than we were at the Estes Village Inn, last weekendWhat a Dump!

Made a reservation on August through *** Within an hour of making the reservation, I was notified of a family emergency and cancelled the reservation through *** I received an email stating that the reservation had been cancelled within the hour grace period and that Estes Village Inn agreed to waive any cancellation fees Upon receiving my credit card statement, I found the charge to still be present On Sept 5,2018, I called the credit card company and asked if a refund was showing and it was not It should be noted that the email was sent on 8/8/but the charges were made on 8/9/ I called Estes Village Inn on 9/5/(the same day I noticed the charge and called the credit card company) Estes Village Inn stated that *** never sent them the paper work for the credit I hung up and called *** and they confirmed the cancellation and that the cancellation was made during the grace period While I waited on the phone, ***
