Regarding Complaint ID: *** *** *** ***, I am writing to you today in regards to the complaint launched against us by *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** brought to our attention on Dec 22nd, that he had discovered termites in the wood flooring he had on
his JobsiteThis flooring was delivered to his jobsite on or around July 8th, He had begun installing the floor a few days prior to Dec22ndThis means that the flooring sat in his home for monthsPlease understand that as a distributor of wood flooring we take the finding of termites, or bugs in any of our wood to be a very major issueWe immediately inspected all remaining boxes of this lot in our inventory and found no evidence of termitesAdditionally, we have sold almost 10,sf of this lot of material and have fielded no other complaints*** *** inspected the materials he had on site and found that only one box of had termites in itWe offered to replace that box at no chargeFor these reasons, we denied the claimWith the amount of time the wood sat in his home, and the fact that we had no evidence of insects in our inventoryIt seemed most likely that the termites came from the jobsiteI can supply emails between myself and *** *** where he became quite unreasonable and unprofessional should you desire to see themWe request that you reject this complaint, as we feel that at this time *** *** is simply attempting to damage our reputationSincerely, Ryan A*** Inside Sales Manager EcoTimber

I am rejecting this response because: I have reviewed my records and can find no evidence of "unprofessional" behavior I wonder if it's because at one point I said I was flabbergasted by their response and indicated that I did not believe they had empathy for the customer Happy to supply all the emails we have shared if anybody wants themThey have been acting to implicate me from the beginning regarding the pests I have discussed this with my contractor and a pest professional who all indicated that it is exceedingly unlikely that the materials were infested on sight so I'm not convinced of their explanation In fact, once I reported the termites, they called me back within hours indicating that they had inspected the remaining materials I don't know how it's possible to examine the remaining materials in a couple hours It took me days to go through boxes If the quantity they had remaining is very small, then it's not really a representative sample No evidence has ever been supplied to me to indicate lack of issue on their end Only assurances from them which, pardon me, but I'm having a hard time accepting I have photographic evidence of this problem being in their product Not sure why this is such an argument
