Review: I delivered 2 garments on Aug. 7, in the AM to be dry cleaned, was told they could be picked up the following day. My wife went by on the 8th before lunch to retrieve them and was told they were not ready. On Monday, Aug.11, I went to pick up these 2 items,(a vest and a shirt) and they could not locate them. I have returned 6 times and 6 times was told my garments were lost. I was informed to go to the only store in our town to purchase these items and bring the reciept to the cleaners to them to be reimbursed, but this store does not have any such items that even comes close. I would have to make a trip out of town and the closest town is approximatly 40 miles away. Even so, that would not gaurentee me I would find what I have lost. I asked no less than $200.00 for these items for they were very expensive and the owner of the cleaners is never there and will not call me to settle this matter. I understand she has a sick husband but this is business and she does need to take care of this or put someone in charge of it.Desired Settlement: I want MY shirt and vest back but that does not seem likely to happen, so I would like a refund of $200.00. I am not trying to rob this lady but I cannot replace what was taken from me for less than that. I am sure it will cost me much more.

Review: I have used Edmondson Cleaners for years without any issues. Four weeks ago after I picked up one of my suits that had been dry cleaned there I discovered to black marks on the pants of the suit. After I brushed away the black/burn places two holes appeared. I took the suit back to the dry cleaners and left my contact information with one of the employees of the dry cleaners and asked for the owner to contact me. Two weeks pasts and I heard nothing. I stopped by the business where the same lady that I left me contact information with advised me that they were not responsible for the damage to the suit, it was a manufacture defect. I said I have had the suit for over a year the holes just appeared in the pants after you cleaned it I don't think this is a manufacture defect. The lady said that the owner didn't think they had anything to do with the damage to the suit but they would refund the cost of the dry cleaning. I said no thanks grab the suit asked the lady to have the owner contact me and left. Another week has past and still no phone call from the owner. I have checked into replacing the pants of the suit, the company does not make that shade of suit any longer so I will need to purchase an entire suit for $595.If the dry cleaner truly believed they had nothing to do with the holes in my suit why were they so quick to offer me a refund in the dry cleaning costs?Desired Settlement: A new suit similar to the one that was damaged will be $595 at the Mens Warehouse.

This is a long time customer of our business and I agree that there have no problems up to this point. The customer brought a suit into business and said that there had been damage during the cleaning process. It had been four to six weeks since the customer had been in the business. When he brought the suit into the business he had no ticket to when of if the suit had been cleaned by the business. The suit was on a hanger that we do not use. Therefore, even if we had cleaned the suit, there had been other handling of the garment. The damage was two holes smaller than a pencil near the cuff of the pants. Upon examination we discovered that someone had tried to repair the holes. When we pointed this out to the customer that someone knew that the holes were there and tried to repair them, he said yes I tried to get them repaired. It seems strange to us that he would try to get something repaired before blaming our business for the damage. The customer appeared surprised when we pointed out an attempt to repair the damage.

The contact persons are there to handle all customers' complaints. There was no need for an additional phone call. It is our standing policy to reclean or refund cleaning cost. The offer for a refund was not a special offer for this customers, this is what we do for all our customers.

This customer was very unpleasant in trying to resolve this issue using lots of profanity. Even though we did not cause any damage to this garment, we offered some compensation. The customer insisted on the replacement of the suit at a cost of $595.00. This expectation is unreasonable and unfair. From a business standpoint it was the correct decision. Morally and ethically it was the right decision.

We will not pay $595.00 for damage we did not cause.
