Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The staff of this company is clearly lying to cover their butts
The head manager herself agreed that things were done very poorly on the phoneShe even said she would write up and fire people over this event, at the end offered to get my money backThen physically wrote an offer of $in an email to take down my YElp review downAt no time was this my idea but the manager herselfI wrote the review so other brides would not ruin their SPECIAL wedding day or experience what I did with this companyThen threathen to sue me to make this issue go awayWhat a horrible way to treat cash/check customers
In attempts to intimidate me the company had a junior lawyer send me a nonofficial Demand letter, that makes absolute NO senseIt is clear the lawyer doesnot handle this sort of lawThe attorney should be disbarred for using intimidating tactics, representing a fraudulent case; were they don't bother to look at all the facts
I have the right to post a review as stated in the constitution and the right to complain if a company charges me FULL price and doesnt deliver on their promisesApparently the head manager knows her staff didnt deliver and so do my guestsI guess they could embarrass themselves in court when my guests have to show up to testify to the facts I have listed
Clearly if the owner or Lawyer had read the emails or received the TRUTH from their stadd they would see that the Manager herself offered the money in exchange to remove the online review FirstIT was not my ideaSince the event was not handled well; I believe we deserve a refundAnd it is my right to askTHis is not considered extortion but an American rightJust like if you buy a piece of filet Mignon and you taste it you realize it was burnt or it was a bad piece , in America we are allowed to send it backThis company is trying to twist the truth so the public doesnt know what a horrible job they doTHey overcharge for their weddings. Since I worked for a real wedding place previouslyI feel its advertising, and they should advertise it as suchThis is like a Vegas wedding on the waterAnd I just feel they should let patrons know that ahead of time not the week before and NOT the day of
And it being my wedding day, I, my guests, bridal party should not work day of
Their statements prove and mean absolutely nothing
And I have people that can testify to the facts of my statements
I never refused a rehearsal as I was never offered oneThis is a simple case of a worker trying to cover her tracks because she doesnt know how to do her job
And having worked at a wedding place and doing other professional events for nonprofit associations I know planning is KEY and how very important the rehearsal is for a WeddingI only heard from the coordinator the day beforePhone records can prove thisI also had sent emails to the sales women *** about it as well and to ***
Their all lying and its pretty darn sad
Regards,
*** ***

Our customer service manager made an offer to Ms*** (see attached email), the amount was specified by *** *** She did not agree that things were done poorly as stated by Ms*** Ms*** simply asked Ms*** if it was her (Ms***'s) intent for us to fire *** as she was ranting about her performance, she said "no" There was never any agreement to compensation, simply the return of the gratuities Ms*** just let Ms*** vent
Of course our attorney is not a junior attorney, I won’t even justify that nonsense with a comment
I am attaching the response from *** our onboard coordinator The email regarding the rehearsal (she specifically says she was not offered a rehearsal) The email regarding me allowing her to be onboard earlier for décor (she specifically says we did not allow them on early) The email letting me know her friends where doing the décor The email from *** to *** before the wedding outlining the décor and who was doing whatEmail exchange between Ms*** and Ms***Copy of her final invoice (she specifically says she spent $12,with Electra Cruises) Also attached our wedding package which outlines IN DETAIL everything the bride and groom needs to know, this is given to every bride and groom to read
Kindest Regards,

Electra Cruises

In regards to the above-mentioned for Electra Cruises.  I am [redacted] and I was the coordinator for this event.  This bride is trying to extort money from Electra Cruises.  We are now going to court and I want to point out the...

following as it is the truth about this event and the claims this couple is making:

Bride turned down the rehearsal that we offer Tue/Wed before the wedding day. I did do a rehearsal but the bride said it was "a rushed 10 minutes".  But it was the groom who stopped me in the middle of rehearsal and said "you don't have to go into detail, we get it".

The bride/wedding party does NOT even need to be setting anything up.  The crew and myself DID set up the following items as we always do prior to boarding (so to say they had to set everything up is ridiculous):

Bring champagne and bouquets to brides' room
Pin on corsages/boutonierre
Offer/bring champagne to family members, groom, groomsmen already on board
Reserve rows at ceremony area
Wash and set out toasting glasses and cake servers
Put petals around cake

They forgot their sand ceremony items and I went to each boat to find some for them and provided the ceremony vessels and the sands.
Bubbles on ceremony chairs
Set up buffet/coffee station with appropriate serving items, water in chaffers, sterns, etc.
Set up seat assignments in alpha order on the board that bride brought
After ceremony: (and these were the items Jovan moved into the bride's room after I had put them in a place that we would have immediate access to to set up the dining room.  I had to go look for them.) set up tables with bride's overlays, party favors, center pieces.  (Jovan was there setting up, why? I do not know.  We do it)
After charter: myself and staff, as always, start to take the bride's linens off the tables and bag them for her, remove center pieces (unless guests were allowed to take them), take any left over party favors off tables and box/bag them for the couple, load onto a cart outside the boat to make it easy for them. (again, bride and some other guests were upstairs doing it with us, why? I do not know…we were already doing it).

We departed at 340p because their florist was still not done.  Had she hired enough of HER own people for the FLORAL set-up we would have boarded on time.  I nicely gave them 3 warnings: "we are boarding in 20 min" and again "we are boarding in 15 min", and again "we are boarding now ladies".  The capt. even motioned to me that we needed to board and I pointed to the florist to let him know that was the reason we weren't boarding.  When I went to ask capt. to board he asked "outside florist"? Because it's usually a problem. Florist  got nervous and that's when she started blaming us for not "helping".

[redacted] mentioned on Yelp that she did 100 events and even she knows how many staff members to hire.  Tell your florist that…not us.  I've done 1800 events.

We put wedding party to work?  NO!  I asked the florist about the name tents because there were double names and some nick names…florist/friend said "ask the brides' maids, they are sisters and they will know family names", so I did.  We have no way of knowing who "[redacted]" is, or that it is their aunt, etc.  I also told the sisters to just put in a pile with the table numbers and I WILL PUT ON THE TABLES.  They said "no we'll just do it"

Grand entrance…yes there are photos.  The flower petals are being dropped on them as they are making their entrance.  This is the only time I drop petals on the couple.

Since the florist insisted on setting items up in dining area (which we were already doing) I had asked her what I could help her with and she just gave me a couple of little vases to put up by the bar.  That was it.
I put the items specifically for the dining tables in the dining room area so I would have immediate access to them to set them up which WE always do (overlays, table numbers, table number stands, doilies). The florist took it upon herself and moved these bags that I needed to the brides'  room.  She should not have done that and said "I'm taking them because I need to organize them".  I told her that "needs to be done prior to getting on the boat".  I'm the one that went thru the two bags and consolidated everything.  Florists, guests, wedding party do NOT need to be on this deck while we are setting up.  In fact the DJ announced that everyone make their way to the first deck. Florist insisted on setting items up.

Guests are at tables around cake on Athena, and yes it was announced several times.  We can't force people to get up if they want to stay seated.  However, every guest was on that deck watching the cake cutting.

We get everything done and leave on time unless there are outside vendor issues or guests arrive late, etc.

Thank you.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It is obvious to me the staff and the owner do not communicate very well or just like to HEAT things up by having his staff write uninformed, insulting, poorly written; responses.
It sounded like the owner wanted to work things out with us, that he did offer us his profits for the day of the event. He gave us some time to consider his offer.
Yet After reading this latest response from Lorraine, I am realizing that the ONLY REAL justice I can offer ALL FUTURE BRIDES If this staff is still employed is that the review remain available. Especially as a reputable consultant, Business Advisor and (previous) Large wedding employee.

The owner and HIS staff seem to be saying different things. So Im not sure what is going on over there.
Its apparent to me, they have been playing this GAME with brides and grooms for some time now. And I am not the first and I will not be the last.
My husband and I are high level consultants and we are not in need of Electra's money. In fact we are busy with large high level contracts that this is why I have not reconnected with the owner. Simply because we are busy and money isnt our Agenda here, its about Justice.
Previously I personally thought justice would be to offer us a refund since the staff can not coordinate among each other. Yet now I see it is to leave the REVIEW there so others can read it to make a well informed decision for their special day.
Ms. Perada herself stated its all on VIDEO, so they know what went on. She has already agreed that they have messed up. ANd the owner has had outside witnesses that can verify my story.
The yelp review was simply so others would ask more questions, make a well informed decision prior to buying and/or considering a wedding venue.
As every BRIDE want their day to be "FUN and exciting". And I was simply sharing how NONFUN the staff made the experience for me. And it is my 1st amendment right to share that; which can be found in our founders constitution from 1787. In fact, I happen to have a copy of one of the first originals printed, if the staff would like to look at it.
In regards to the cake... who spends thousands on a cake just for a few photos between the bride and groom. My friends, that is ridiculous. Even if you have money, NO body throws a party for photos or to RUSH through an event to say "there its done" LOL!!  yet that was the experience perhaps ELECtra doesnt get this yet and have no empathy since its not their wedding; its just their job.
If the staff has not taken University LAW or Business Law, then they simply cannot relate to my remarks ABOUT THE LAW and that is okay. It is not customary for lawyers to send personal demand letters, that do not make any "law" sense; on UNFILED court documents. I have worked with many lawyers, so I am familiar with due process. I have never seen this done before. There fore the intent is obvious...its merely to intimidate.
I am HAPPY with my Full detailed review and BELIEVE consumers should read it. Especially since the ELECTRA staff is so unprofessional.
SOME REVIEWS, are well deserved. And Electra staff you EARNED this one.
Its unfortunate cash customers are treated this way.
(Revdex.com make sure  to forward to the owner)
