Review: On March 25, 2015, we entered into a contract with Elite Limousine for my son's High School Prom. We agreed to the Prom Package which included nine hours of limousine service, soda's, water, ice, mints, sparkling cider, two half lb boxes of chocolates and 12 roses. The total price was $1,020 which included $170 for the gratuity. The limousine accommodated up to 14 people. There were 13 young men and young women that attended. On May 9th, when the limousine driver arrived he stated the air conditioning in the back was not working very well. They were traveling from Yuba City to Sacramento (approximately 45 min. one way) to take pictures, dinner and back to Yuba City for the Prom. I contacted my son during their trip to Sacramento and he said the back was very hot. I called the company to let them know I was unhappy about spending over $1,000 to rent the limousine and the air conditioning was not working. The gentlemen was very rude, he told me he should not be talking to me he should only be talking to [redacted]. I told him [redacted] is my wife and she is in San Diego taking care of her mother who went through an emergency surgery. I told him the limousine driver told us the air conditioning was not working and asked why he would send this vehicle and not another one with the air conditioning working properly. He asked who the limousine driver was and stated he was going to contact him and call me back. Upon calling back, he stated the driver was able to feel cool air, however, it takes at least an hour and one-half hours to cool off a vehicle this size and I don't understand what it takes for the compressor to make the air conditioning work. He went on to state that he's been in business for over 35 years and knows how these vehicles operate. His resolution to situation was to tell the kids to drink the "complimentary" water and sodas and put the windows down. I told him they spent alot of time/money on hair and dress and his resolution is not acceptable.Desired Settlement: A deposit of $510 (1/2 cost) was required at the time we signed the contract with the balance due on April 24th, two weeks prior to the Prom. I believe Elite Limousine had sufficient time to inspect the vehicle to ensure it was in proper working order and/or make any necessary changes and/or repairs. Additionally, they should have contacted us to let us know this could be an issue and given us the option on how to proceed. I believe a refund of $200 is fair and equitable.

On 05/09/15 at approx 4:45 pm, I received a call from [redacted] stating his son had texted him stating it was warm in the rear of the Limousine that was rented for his son & friends event. I asked [redacted] if he had directly contacted the driver in regards to this issue & he replied no. I advised Mr [redacted] that I would contact the driver, [redacted] to find out what the issue was and then would call Mr. [redacted] back to discuss.
