Please be advised that on our contract there is a sixty day guaranty which has expired. We looked at the driveway and told [redacted] that we would repair the crack. I will contact [redacted] again and try and work out a solution.

Review: Approximately 2 years ago I hired [redacted] to complete a concrete/Paver driveway and walk way. The very next spring, the concrete was spalling {scaling} and had several cracks. Eventually, [redacted] returned to my home and replaced most of the damaged concrete , unfortunately, the same thing occurred this spring not only in the repaired sections however, there were several new sites of spalling and addition cracking. This job cost me 13k and was supposed to be a dream driveway that has turned into a nightmare. When I spoke to [redacted] from [redacted] he said that their was nothing he can do that sometimes this happens. I walk 2 miles a day around my neighborhood and have seen several driveways that have been installed in the past few years and none have any damage at all. I say this because [redacted] insinuated that salt from the cars parked on the driveway probably or could have caused the damage. All the driveway in my area drive the same streets and park their vehicles on their driveways however, I am the only one with damage. Other contractors have looked at my driveway and both said that the concrete was of poor quality and or a bad mix. I will be paying for this driveway for the next three years and find it extremely difficult to watch it crumble before my eyes as I see it on a daily basis. This is a case where the material used was of poor quality and insufficient for the job. He chose the concrete and he should be responsible for make sure that it will last at the least, the minimum test of time. I have no problem with the [redacted]'s crew and owners. They were pleasant and cordial. However, I am out 13k for a driveway that is literally crumbling before my eyes due to the inferior material they usedDesired Settlement: [redacted] tried once to repair the damage however, they did not succeed. I am seeking a fair monetary numeration to have another contractor replace all the damaged work.

Please be advised that when I found out that the driveway was cracked I went back and redid the driveway at my own cost. The winter was very bad and most people used sault on the driveways. Even if they say they didn't the sault gets stuck in the treads of the tires and melts on the driveway. I cant keep doing concrete over and stay in business. Concrete cracks. On my contracts I guarantee concrete foe 60 days. Please note I use a 4000 psi concrete from a reliable company.

[Your Answer Here] If concrete cannot hold up against everyday road salt which may adhere to their vehicles than everyone's driveway would have eroded or "spalled" away by now. Mine is the only driveway installed in the last several years in my neighborhood {I walk two miles every other day} that has spalling and several cracks. Please note that my prior driveway and walk way had no spalling and only one crack. I replaced it in attempt to have a more modern driveway and extend it to be three wide. Yes he did replace much of the damaged concrete however, the same thing occurred again. How can this happen if the quality of the concrete was not poor. Twice? No one has spalling but me. I understand that concrete cracks but why only me? And why would it happen after it was repaired again? I am not seeking any more repair work from this contractor. I want a fair monetary remuneration to hire another contractor who does his work with a quality concrete that will stand up if vehicle salt gets on it. Its ridiculous to say that road salt will ruin concrete in less than one year. For the record, I never have and never willl use salt on a driveway or sidewalk. That would be plain stupid. Furthermore, when I asked why is everyone else's concrete did not have spalling or several cracks his statement was "some people get lucky". Review: On April [redacted] 2015, I hired Maura Mason Corp. to repair my steps, install a new walkway and new driveway. Upon completion of this job, I immediately called Walter of Maura Mason because his crew left cement all along the side of my house and in my plants. Walter never showed resulting in me having to clean up poor workmanship. *On September [redacted] 2015, I again called Walter because I discovered two bricks on my driveway cracked only a few months after installation. Walter promised to address the following week with replacing both bricks*On September [redacted] 2015, I called back Walter to get an update on the repairs and Water mentioned he forgot and will so the following week.*On October [redacted] 2015, I again called Walter to get an update on my brick repair. Walter proceeded to tell me that he again forgot and that the bricks aren't going anywhere. I mentioned I'd like the repair made before cold season arrives and was promised the following week.* Today, October [redacted], I again called Walter for the repair and again was told he forgot and would in fact come later this afternoon. I came home around 5:00 to no repairs. Ive been patient and forthcoming with my complaint. Walter hasn't replied with any courtesy calls to reschedule and continues to tell me he forgot. I paid a high amount for quality work and am receiving poor business in return. I would greatly appreciate any help regarding this matter.
