I HAVE BEEN BILLED FOR TWO DIFFERENT PROCEDURES THAT WERE DONE UNDER MY INSURANCE. THE STAFF TOLD ME THEY DID NOT GET THE NECESSARY PRIOR APPROVAL NEEDED SO I NEEDED TO PAY THEM, YOU CAN NOT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE OR RETURN A CALL

Billing Adjustment I WANT THIS TO END. I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED DOCTORS DUE TO THE ISSUES. THEY NEED TO CORRECT MY BILLING TO REFLECT THEM TAKING CARE OF THEIR MISTAKES. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SLACKING AND NOT DOING THE PAPERWORK PROPERLY. MY INSURANCE HAS PAID ALL OF THE OTHERS WITHOUT A PROBLEM

I am writing in ref. to the closing of this case. Due to the latest with COVID-19 we have been out of the office, doing telehealth visits. I apologize for not emailing timely. I did call your office to respond to this complaint. I have the patient's insurance investigating each claim the patient is complaining about to see why the balances were pushed to the patient. The office was told these charges were patient responsibility due to no communication from the patient when his insurance attempted to contact him to co ordinate benefits for the claims to be processed. We made several efforts to explain this to the patient. As soon as we hear back from the insurance company when they find out why exactly claims were denied we will reach out and let patient know.

The information they provided is incorrect. The insurance company has not tried to contact me and Andre the office manager wanted me to contact the insurance company to see if they would pay the 2 bills and stated they did not get the prior approval they needed before treatment. I have also spoken with a representative from the manufacturer of the drug the use during the infusion that I have a care plan with and he also said that I am not responsible for the payment of this. It's funny that I have not had to contact the insurance company for any of the other treatments I received for the last 3 years. My insurance and Jansen care plan says this is on the facility that performed treatment without doing the necessary procedures for payment

In August 2017, prior making my first appointment with Dr. *** I was told I had to pay him $40. (cash or check) before the first appointment, and fill out paperwork. I filled out the paperwork and paid him the $40.

I canceled the appointment more than a week before the scheduled appointment, and was told I would receive the $40. refund since I have never had an appointment with the doctor, and I canceled far in advance of the scheduled appointment.

I have still not received the refund despite several phone calls, and them assuring me that they would send it, but that it takes them time to do that. It is now 5 months later. That seems to have been sufficient time for them to send me the $40.

Desired Outcome

Refund I just want the money owed to me, to be paid to me, hopefully this year.
