Review: My pet cat [redacted] was treated poorly and was given the wrong medication. We were then sent to another vet to get correct medicine and pay a 2nd bill.

My cat [redacted] had gotten sick so I took him to the Emergency Clinic on 2/25/13. After seeing [redacted], the doctor came out and told me he has to have blood work done and he needs to be de-wormed. I gave the doctor the go ahead to do that. After waiting there for a ridiculous 2 hours, the doctor brought [redacted] out to me with this disturbingly large hole in his neck where they took his blood. Which after 4 months has still not healed (OUTRAGEOUS). All the doctor had to say was that she gave him the wrong medication and that I needed to take him to his vet and get the correct medication there. Not a single word did the doctor mention about the HUGE hole in [redacted]'s neck! Extremely angry at this point. I paid a bill of $134.40 with my debit card and left in a flash. The next day I took [redacted] to his vet to correct the other clinics mistakes. I paid [redacted]'s vet an additional $159.57 to correct their mistake! Ever since then the doctor has been sending me a bill for $192.49, absolutely outrageous! The care (If you want to call it that) [redacted] received was completely INCOMPATANT!! The office was unsanitary, dust and dirt were everywhere and the equipment had rust on it! Desired Settlement: I want a total refund of the $134.40 I paid the clinic. I also want to be reimbursed the $159.57 I paid Buddy's vet to correct the clinics mistakes. And I want to be paid $192.49, for Buddy's pain and suffering and the harassment, anxiety the clinic has caused us. That's the amount they want me to pay for the doctor's incompantcy. That's a total amount of $486.46. If these terms are not met in a timely fashion, then I shall continue my complaint with the Ca. Veterinary Medical Board then the Attorney Generals Office and if not by then then I won't hesitate to bring my lawyer to the table and the clinic to court

Our hospital is run by a board of directors and this complaint has been turned over to the president of our board for further review. Due to a request for a refund and fees related to pain and suffering, this matter will be the topic of the next board of directors meeting. At this time we ask for an extension in responding further to this matter due to the pending review by our board.

I have heard nothing of a proposed resolution. No one has spoke to me about any terms of any kind. This is the first I have heard of it, I'm in the dark. Can someone fill me in?
