 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I object to the implication that I was trying to put something over on this company ior trying to get services for nothing. I assumed that when you pay a great deal of money to so-called experts in the field, and the results are not successful, they make it right. It was not my fault that I didn't see live bugs in the specified time period. (a VERY short window.) I offered to show video I had taken of the live bug to the elder [redacted], and he didn't have any interest in seeing it. it was on my laptop, and was too large a file to be mailed. for some reason, he paid me a visit after my complaint, saying he wanted to "resolve the issue." That didn't happen. He was also pretty rude and abrupt on the phone and in person -- treated me like some kind of liar/troublemaker. The idea that my son brought bedbugs back to my house is just mis-direction on the part of the owners, and an attempt to put blame elsewhere. My son's apartment at [redacted] doesn't have a bedbug issue. I checked with management. also, students and parents would have been aware of it. As to the canine thing -- you can understand my reluctance to pay out MORE money after having to raid my savings/retirement funds to pay for initial treatment ($3,600). I ended up paying another $500 (this was a "deal," apparently) to have this company treat the top floor of my house again. There was no follow-up after treatment (no t even an email) and the company was not interested in my situation after they got their money. It has been really traumatic for me. I thought I was paying for peace of mind, but I didn't get that. I still am not comfortable, even after recent canine check (another $250), because i'm now really paranoid about any unexplained bug bite or mark on my sheets. I check my bed daily. The treatment of bed bugs seems to be a pretty inexact science, and I have had different information from different companies, all claiming to be experts who specialize in bed bugs. I hope this is the end -- the company seems to be suggesting that I am re-introducing bed bugs each time. Since I don't travel or go anywhere much -- I don't even eat out --  I find that hard to understand. I would, at the very least, like to  be re-imbursed the amount of money I paid for the second treatment. Have very little hope of that, however. I have no recourse but to never recommend these people to anyone.

Dear [redacted]:Environmental Heat Solutions, LLC (Environmental) acknowledges the serious nature of of these allegations made by this complainant. This was done long before a complaint was filed with the Revdex.com. Efforts, to resolve the matter, were described in the initial multi-page submission and response to this complaint. Iam notgoingto reiterate those points. The submissions and exhibits either are a clear description of the issues or they are not. There is nothing more I can say with respect to the facts. After a lengthy history of complaints, threats and demands, the complainant learned that the treatment administered by Environmental had solved her bedbug problem. The bedbugs are gone. She knows this as a result of finally allowing a post treatment independent examination of her house. That fact was acknowledged. To attempt to damage Environmental through internet postings or by pursuing a Revdex.com complaint, before having that knowledge is reckless. To continue that activity after that knowledge is malicious.

In the 5% of failures that I have in all the jobs do, customers call me within 10-14 days after treatment providing me with a live bug. From there gave them two options. 1.  Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Calling my actions reckless and malicious -- is that some kind of legal terminology or is he just being insulting? I have never been accused of either of those things by a person or business. I am sick of dealing with this, so i'll just say that paying a great deal of money for a treatment that didn't work, and then paying more to have it done again, all the while being told it was my fault the bugs were still there, is not my idea of a good business model. Keep in mind that they have this string of emails, but it doesn't include what was said in phone calls or in person. I'm guessing he sent this on his law firm's letterhead, rather than letterhead with the name of the company, to intimidate me. If that's not "malicious," it is certainly nasty.

Review: I had a bed bug infestation in december 2013. hired Environmental Heat Solutions to thermally treat my house at cost of $3,600. warranty for 30 days only. after about 6 weeks, found live bugs in same area. told them I had live bug and video of same. they said I was out of warranty. complained about this, and got a call from someone saying they were a lawyer for the company. ([redacted]) turned out to be owner. company suggested I should pay to have dogs in (more expense). don't see the point of this, since I already knew where bugs were. paid another $500 (no warranty) to treat just upstairs in feb. (also had to replace bedding, pillows, etc.) in march found another live bed bug. throughout this process, owner and son suggested my son had brought bugs back from college. college apartment building has no bed bugs and uses preventive pest control. so now Environmental Heat Solutions says we need to use dogs they recommend. they insist it's my fault that I still have bed bugs. I will have to spend yet more money to have another company treat house. I think Environmental Heat Solutions should make it good by paying for dogs to search out live bugs and then pay for another company to treat. we intend to go to small claims court. they have been hostile and intimidating or unresponsive throughout. all they do is treat bed bugs, and they can't even do that right. is the idea to pay thousands of dollars so you can be free of bugs for 30 days only?? I bet if they were living with bugs they wouldn't behave this way. it has been really awful. I itch all the time and am completely stressed out. no one should have to live like this. I did what I thought was what I needed to do, and feel i'm being punished. these people aren't competent.(we have heard from other companies that they didn't heat house to high enough heat -- should be 140-160. they went with 135 degrees.)As to customer service -- there is none. this is no way to treat people. Can you help?Desired Settlement: I listed it above. I want these bugs gone. since Environmental Heat Solutions couldn't do that, I would like for them to pay for someone else to do it, as well as dogs to find live bugs. if not, give me back the money i've spent -- they haven't earned it.

Keep in mind that they have this string of emails, but it doesn't include what was said in phone calls or in person. I'm guessing he sent this on his law firm's letterhead, rather than letterhead with the name of the company, to intimidate me. If that's not "malicious," it is certainly nasty.

Regards,
