I wanted to clarify a fact I let out of my other responseThe customer doesn't deny being in the moving vanAnd while the customer did not elect to look inside the van or trailer, her friend that was with her didShe looked in bothNone of the items they are referring to where there for them to seeMs*** expressed concern about surcharges for items that she had that required special handlingIn the interest of helping her out, aside from giving her a ride, I lowered the amount she owed and paid the tax and processing associated with those chargesI am now of the opinion that Ms*** could not afford to have movers to begin with and is fishing for a way to get some of her money backThese allegations about going to our previous dispatch location are erroneous since I gave her the physical address of where we dispatch out of on *** ***There was no need to go to the previous address as I told her were it was on one of the numerous phone conversationsI encouraged Ms*** to call and make a police report if she felt she was victim of theft as I don't tolerate it in my company and have never had an issue with it beforeI still have yet to hear from any law enforcement investigatorWhat surprises me even more, now she comes up with new allegations about it taking long, people getting lost, etc and then she tips the guys for a job well done and even went as far as to call me to compliment the guys on how they worked non stop and with out damagesAll of the sudden all these allegationsWell I know people can read between the lines and put this together for themselvesI consider this issue closed and will not avail to further allegations motivated by trying to get a buck out of my companyI have given Ms*** all the freebies that I could giveAt the end of the day, she was compensated more than I would be obligated to pay if I had honored her claim to begin with

I am rejecting this response because:
My family decided to go with this company because of the good moving rate we were given.  Once they arrived they started to load all boxes leaving the larger furniture behind.  The Leader of the three people wanted to go over the bill and slapped us with a $250 deposit fee that we were not aware of along with a "special" fee to move plasma tv's.  We called the owner "[redacted]" to complain about this and he dropped it down to $175.  This should have been our first indication NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.  The movers stopped 2 TIMES to get sodas at a gas station and got lost on Interstate 410 when they were iterally right behind us as we were going only 40 MPH, so yes I do understand that they cannot speed with a large load but we could not find them nowhere on Interstate 410.  We then called thier cell phone from the "Leader" of the three movers and have call logs and text messages to prove this.  It took a hour and half to reach our location.  Once the job was completed they only put together 2 beds we had.   The following day we realized while unpacking that boxes labeled "Jewlary, Clothing, Books, Kitchen and DVD's" were missing.  Along with a broken leg on our queen size bed that they improperly put together.  We contacted the owner and the Leader of the moving crew which could not really answer our questions because they were not near the truck to review it's contents.  We were constantly calling the owner [redacted] and to no avail they could not find our missing boxes.  [redacted] then became very irritated and stated "Do what you got to do" once we metioned the police report that was made at the Sheriff's Office.  [redacted] then stopped answering our phone call and never replied to us regarding our missing boxes.  We went to the address which was located on the reciept of our bill and talked to a tenant there which stated that the company "has not been there over a couple of years".  We then escalated our complaint to the Sheriffs office to a Theft Report.The fact of the matter is that while unpacking which everyone knows doesn't take a day, that is when you realize items are missing. [redacted] was contacted multiple times because of the many discoveries we have now made. His company was the only one who transported our boxes during the move.  And of course not answering customer phone call would not update you on Any recent findings.  Our story never changed because it was the same box labels once again as "H's clothes Bk's Jewlery". Perhaps next time you will be willing to answer calls and update your notes regarding the descriptions of the missing boxes.

We take theft very seriously and investigate any concern a customer may have. Ms. [redacted] called about a missing box labeled jewelry that she couldn't find. At first she said it was labeled books and daughters clothes, then after three calls she called back and said she thinks it may have also been...

labeled jewelry. Now it turned into more boxes missing, which I was never informed of until I received this report from the Revdex.com. This customer called me several times. I missed two of her 7 calls because I was driving. This customer not only was given a ride in the moving van, but had been given the opportunity to inspect the van and trailer at the end of the move. Invitation to inspect the van and trailer by the customer is company policy. Giving customers a ride in the moving van is against company policy, but in the interest of helping the customer, the driver made an exception. This customer declined to inspect the moving van and trailer. She even tipped the guys for a job well done. Due to the repeated calls by our customer, I had my manager personally go inspect the van and trailer. He did not find any boxes or personal effects of any kind since it had not been used since her move. I explained this to Ms. [redacted] on one of her many calls to the office. I explained that we repeatedly checked our truck and that her box was not in there. She even called one of my movers who was on her move. He told her the same. It was the customer who was annoyed since there was nothing to substantiate her allegations and I kept telling her we were not in possession of her box. I even encouraged her to make a police report if she in fact thinks she was victim to theft. I was never contacted by any law enforcement officer with regard to this issue nor can this customer give an answer as to why she didn't notice any boxes left behind when she rode in the very vehicle she claims her goods were left in. We have been in business over 20 years with an A rating from the Revdex.com. This was attained through hard work and dedication to our customers. It is our position that we moved Ms. [redacted] with out damages and were kind enough to give her a ride to the unload. She tipped the very guys she alleges stole her box. We gave her the opportunity to inspect the truck and she declined. Furthermore, there are too many inconsistencies in her story. First it was one box, then it was many boxes, then at the end of the complaint it goes back to one box again. We reject any and all claims and/or allegations made by Ms. [redacted] therefore decline any compensation.
