I would like to apologize that the Revdex.com has
to get involved in this matter.  At TLC
is always our intention to provide superior service and promptly and
professionally handle any dissatisfaction that our customers may have.  
I have spoken with the Technician...

that performed the work
and I will support the recommendations that he made. We have procedures in
place to ensure that we never suffer a fatality due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
 Our Technician did an inspection of the furnace,
during that inspection he found that the furnace was over firing. He made some adjustments
to the how the furnace was firing. He then proceeded to test the carbon monoxide
level at the supply registers and found a reading of 2 PPM. While 2 PPM is not
a very high reading it is an indication of a furnace that is not functioning properly
(typically but not always related to a cracked heat exchanger). We have
communicated to our technicians that anytime we find carbon monoxide at a
supply register that they diagnose any problem with the furnace, make necessary
repairs and recommend the replacement of the furnace. In this situation [redacted]
made the adjustments prior to the CO test.  We have also communicated to our Technicians
that if they have a carbon monoxide reading of 5 PPM or greater at a supply
register that they disable the furnace.
I can appreciate Mr. [redacted]’s frustration with the situation
and I will happily refund the service charge of $112.35. While I can support
the diagnoses our Technician made, it sounds like we should have looked into the
situation further to determine if there was anything that could have been done
to eliminate the high reading.
It is never our intention to mislead a customer
or use scare tactics. Carbon monoxide is a very dangerous issue and I will always

Although we’re grateful to the Revdex.com for being an avenue for our customers, we really like to be able to fix issues on our own when they arise.
