Review: Escondido Sport and Fitness has charged my bank account after closing the business. The owner, Greg Sharp, gave only three days notice that he was closing the gym and that he was going to send members to another gym on the other side of the city. He stated to me that if we did not wish to continue at the new gym we could cancel. I asked if the same trainers for Jiu Jitsu and Muy Thai would be going there. he said yes, however that was not the truth. He released those particular trainers and did notify any of the membership and he did not cancel my membership nor my wife's membership. he billed me $80.00 for December of 2013. He did not provide equal of improved training specific to our training. He did not provide the same trainers. In fact the supposed combat training facility (The Compound) which [redacted] was attempting to send his members went out of business three weeks prior to me filing this complaint. They were never able to provide any training during my normal training hours, thus they were unable to fulfill any obligation to me or my family. My wife and I have left numerous messages with his staff and with him however we keep receiving harassing calls from ABC Financial stating that we are delinquent and that they are adding on penalties and late fees. They stated that we had to send a certified letter in order to cancel and that upon receipt of certified letter that a thirty (30) day processing period would still be enacted. It is my opinion that this business practice is very unethical. I refuse to pay for services that I am not receiving.Desired Settlement: I want this situation resolved and I want my $ 80.00 returned, however I am willing to forget the December fee if he stops ABC financial from continuing to harass me and my family. I also want [redacted] to tell ABC Financial that all penalties and any other fees occurring from January 2014 and on to be waived.

Review: On May 2, 2013 I had intentions on joining this club. Per their contract agreement, a person has 5 days to withdraw from the contract with a written notice. I realized that it was going to be a hassle for me to be a member at this club as they do not offer daycare. I submitted my notice on May 7th. I have been inquiring about my $100.00 deposit that was supposed to be refunded back into my bank account. The person that answers the phone has assured me that the refund would be deposited to my account. Every time I call her to inquire about it again, she tells me that the owner of this club was going to do the refund. Every time I ask to speak to him, she says he's not there. This owner has drawn up a legal document that people are supposed to comply with, and yet he has defaulted on his agreement. I want my deposit of $100.00 returned to me and $9.50 for every day he has not returned my money. $9.50 is what this owner charges a customer for late charges. I would appreciate your assistance on this matter.Desired Settlement: $100.00 for my deposit.$9.50/day for every day he has not refunded my money back - $199.50
