felt to be necessary by our technicians, but because this could potentially be a safety issue, we will not argue with another diagnosis that says a part is at fault The clamp issue was just poor workmanshipAs a dealership we are normally proud of the work we do and the treatment our customers receive However, in this instance our people clearly failed We are sending a check for a refund of the $charged for the alignment We have verified that the shifter is considered a separate part from the transmission However, as a goodwill gesture we will pay for 1/the amount that she was charged for the shifter(I believe the charge was $308, so we will be paying $plus the $for the shifter.)Again, we apologize for the manner in which this was handled, and we assure the customer that this is not normal I can certainly understand the reluctance of the customer to return for service However, as the owner I would appreciate the opportunity to personally be involved in any service or repair that might be needed in the future, so that we can have another chance to show how we normally perform in taking care of the vehicle and its owner
