Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint Although the information in the complaint is vague, let me start by saying that, while I am empathetic to the complainant's frustrations, Ghostery is in no way responsible for any of the actions he alleges Ghostery's privacy enhancing tool actually supports transparency and control to the consumer Our free privacy tool, also called Ghostery, is the world's most popular consumer privacy tool, having been downloaded more than million times It's purpose is to reveal to the consumer all the invisible tracking that is occurring on any given website and then empower the consumer with control over that tracking, e.ghe can block the tracking by any of the third parties on that site To be clear, we do not do any tracking, nor to we enable third parties to track a consumer We simply make that invisible activity visible to the consumer so he/she can exercise control over it As to [redacted] serving behavioral advertisements based upon his browsing activities, I can't speak to the online practices of another companyI am quite happy to discuss this further and only wish that he had emailed us to ask what our involvement in the digital ecosystem might be We are advocates for full consumer transparency, so consumers can be well informed about a company's digital practices and therefore make the right decisions for himself as they pertain to those digital practices Sincerely, [redacted] *** [redacted] ***

It's about your online data collection businesses and ad serving services found at: ghosteryenterprise.com My complaint is not vague. Your company; Ghostery Enterprise works with [redacted] to serve ads based on online behavior through [redacted] . Your associate; [redacted] , the 'Provider of technology to manage collections, storage, protection , segmentation and use of online data.' thinks I need Depends diapers, Poise underwear liners, Huggies baby diapers, Scott toilet paper and GoodNites absorbent underwear from [redacted] Hence I now get unwanted [redacted] products served to my browser sessions through [redacted] . The suggestions came from [redacted] and Ghostery Enterprise dutifully serves ads based on flawed customer profiling provided to [redacted] . In order to receive [redacted] product ads through [redacted] I need an account with [redacted] beforehand to act as a 'opt-in' screening to prevent what you see today happening to me. [redacted] had nothing to do with this, I called them and I do not have an account attached to my name! Why don't you give them a call? I attached a series of screen shots showing the ads and who is hosting them. Also, I would like to discuss this problem on the phone with you. Companies such as Ghostery Enterprise collect information about online users but when it comes to the users contacting the data collectors nobody is home. I tried calling your company and was hanged up on twice. Completely unacceptable behavior for a company that values transparency. Anyone who calls: ###-###-#### should be able to talk to a employee during regular businesses hours. The fact remains, if [redacted] is not the ones responsible for the ads then it points to [redacted] who is working with YOU to provide the unwanted ads based in false behavior information to [redacted] .
