Before William came he was advised over the telephone that the previous contractor, there the previous day, did an inspection and said we needed a new Heat Pump system and he could not install it because of a neck injury William stated that he had been installing these for more than years and no one had more experience than him He told me the system could be installed as little as hours pending approval from the Home Warranty company.William also indicted in the response that he is not licensed to install HVAC systemsI contacted the Licking County Offices and they said there are no licensing requirements for residential HVAC systems in Licking countyI also contacted the Ohio department of licensing and they also stated the same thing William did not inspect our system for problems, he came to get the information needed for the replacement heat pumpI have cameras inside and outside my home proving he never did any inspection other than have me turn the AC on so he could say the compressor was bad and I have video footage of him measuring the furnace in the basement for the parts needed to install--but no video footage of him doing an inspection, only proof he didn't William defrauded us and if necessary we will pursue all legal methods at our disposal to rectify the pain and suffering and financial losses incurred from his fraudulent actionsI just want to make sure the public can see my complaint so they know what our experience was with this company Regards, Daniel Spatholt

Before William came he was advised over the telephone that the previous contractor, there the previous day, did an inspection and said we needed a new Heat Pump system and he could not install it because of a neck injury.  William stated that he had been installing these for more than 25 years and no one had more experience than him.  He told me the system could be installed as little as 24 hours pending approval from the Home Warranty company.William also indicted in the response that he is not licensed to install HVAC systems. I contacted the Licking County Offices and they said there are no licensing requirements for residential HVAC systems in Licking county. I also contacted the Ohio department of licensing and they also stated the same thing.  William did not inspect our system for problems, he came to get the information needed for the replacement heat pump. I have 17 cameras inside and outside my home proving he never did any inspection other than have me turn the AC on so he could say the compressor was bad and I have video footage of him measuring the furnace in the basement for the parts needed to install--but no video footage of him doing an inspection, only proof he didn't.  William defrauded us and if necessary we will pursue all legal methods at our disposal to rectify the pain and suffering and financial losses incurred from his fraudulent actions. I just want to make sure the public can see my complaint so they know what our experience was with this company.

We did go out and diagnose the home owners AC issues. Our diagnosis was that, in fact, they do need a new air conditioner. We reported our diagnosis to the home warranty company. Their research dept determined that replacing the unit was justified. The homeowner did pay his $100 deductible that...

is in his contract between the warranty company ([redacted]) and himself. The $100 deductible only pays for me coming out to diagnosis the system. It does not have anything to do with replacing the entire AC system  Homeowner is also correct in that the warranty company will pay for most of the costs in replacing the unit. No insurance company , especially a home warranty, pays everything 100%. However, 2 days after I reported the diagnosis and they decided to replace the unit, they called me and asked if we would be doing the replacement, which it is common for the repair company to do the install. At that point, I explained to the warranty company that we are not properly licensed by the state of Ohio to do installs. We can only donrepairs. The warranty company never sent us any parts, equipment or anything in relation to the homeowners AC unit, this is where they are being given wrong information. After I explained that we are not licensed by the state of Ohio to do replacements, we closed the work order. Because our job was done, getting to home and diagnosising unit. We are a service repair company. We fix AC units that are broken, which is the case 99% of the time. Also, if anyone from my company picked up any parts or equipment, the warranty company would have a signed invoice from the HVAC supply house saying who picked up and what day. I can guarantee nobody has a signed ticket from us. Unfortunately, the same week as the homeowner's AC issues we're going on, we decided to stop providing service calls for the warranty company. We called and discussed this with them. I believe the homeowner feels were responsible for replacing his AC unit because we were the service company that came out. Also, for some reason he feels the $100 deductible was for replacing his system. That is simply a diagnosis fee that we collect from every homeowner to diagnosis, and in most cases actually fix, the AC units. In situations where the total system needs replaced? A licensed contractor handles that.
