The worst moving experience ever!! Moving long distance is already a stressful exercise and e-z movers did nothing but add on to that stress, right form the beginning to the endTheir approach was highly unprofessional, in fact it seemed like once I signed up with them ...it was just blackmail and harrassmentthey have been indimidating me into agreeing to whatever they say because they are having my stuff and I need that come what may *Daniel (the move co-cordinator)was intimidating and we eevn had a yelling contest at one stage but I ended up apologising fearing the loss to my stuff * They did not deliver the stuff on time and conveniently blamed me for not telling them when to bring in the stuffnow, who would do tht...apparently , they wanted a form to be signed which would initiate the delivery processIt was supposed to be signed by us once the driver had picked our stuff, which the driver did not doNow, it is my fault cos they say tht we have used e-z movers once before and we shud be aware of the processNot signign tht form was my mistake * eventually the form signing formalities were done and the delivery process begins....and so begins the wait cos they give you a business day window when the stuff will reach youwe waited and waited while making numerous calls and facing hardships ( sleeping on the floor, not having enough clothes to wear, going without medication etc etc) * Finally, I get the 'call" tht my much awaited stuff will be delivered on friday,14th of august between and pmI am happy ti see the end of my woesI take a leave from office and stay at home waiting...nothing!! I call the driver and he says he cannot make it on friday but will come the next day* the next day I already have appointments but will they budge, NOi call e-z movers and the reply I get form Greg is well, we can dump ur things in a storage and will let u know that address, u can make ur own arrangements for getting itIs this professional reply? instead of working on a solution with me, I am once again intimidated into cancelling my impotant appointments and waiting for them to deliver my stuff I am done with e-z movers, never never again my friends and family are going to use them they are the worst service providers ever the worst was their attitude and rudeness...simply because we are left with no option but to give in to their demands Pl pl never ever go anywhere near them

I used this company back in and had no issues Last month (2016), I rehired this company to move us from a 3BR condo EZ movers sent men instead of They insisted on charging me more per man hour, even though I had requested men The three guys used a variety of tactics to slow down the process, taking apart furniture unnecessarily and all in all, taking more than hours to move out our things What mad the entire situation worse was the horrible customer service my husband received when we called the office He was extremely rude and kept interrupting my husband When we said that we would take this up with his supervisor, he said, "do whatever you want." This is absolutely no way to speak to a customer, or another human at that I would never wish this moving experience on anyone

My experience with E-Z movers has been relatively similar to many complaints already filed against themWhen moving, you want a trustworthy company that performs three simple tasks: delivering ALL of your items from point A to point B, not damaging said items, and doing all of this in a timely fashionThe service I received was the antithesis of this
When I attempted to resolve all of these issues, I received no replies for a very long timeFinally, after countless calls and emails, a customer service representative named Natalia responded back to me saying there was nothing they could doEssentially, they have too many loopholes that keep them from being liable for their horrible service
If you value your belongings, I highly recommend you do not use this company

I had the worst experience with this moving company for my move from Florida to IllinoisI had to give the movers a day window to come pick up my belongings, which I didThey called me the NIGHT of the 3rd day and told me that my items would not be picked up on time and that there would be at least a day delayThis posed a problem because my lease was up on my apartment, which forced me to have to pay to extend my leaseI also had to delay leaving for my trip by two daysWhen the company called to inform me of this they were not apologetic, nor did they offer to compensate me or compromise a solutionThey just kept saying "these things happen" and then said that I was being unreasonableThey then hung up on me and didn't answer my returning callsI was promised the movers would arrive by Thursday morningOn Thursday morning they call me to tell it will now arrive between 12-Then at 2pm they tell me it will be between 2-4pmThey finally arrive right at 4pmThis company was unreliable, unprofessional, and careless about the problems they causedWorst moving experience ever

EZ Movers has failed to adequately respond to my claim regarding the items which were destroyed in their possessionIn the previous response they did not address the fact that the items destroyed were the ones which their employees packedMy items appeared to have been kicked like a football and I have the photographic evidence and it was acknowledged by their delivery personI understand that things get damaged but if you see the evidence that I had this is more than damage and does not negate the fact that when entering a contract we have reason to believe that adequate care and precaution will be taken when transferring furniture and other articlesI would advise EZ Movers to consider my side of the story but I have been unable to reach their claims department without being spoken down to and I have the emails to release showing thisMy goal is to have EZ Movers honor their contract and compensate my appropriately for the items they destroyed

I apologize for Mr*** negative experience with EZ MoversWe make every attempt to include all charges in the estimates we provide our clients and inform them of any potential additional chargesWe sent Mr*** a confirmation
letter via email (approximately days prior to the move date) which was signed and returnedThis document includes all terms and conditions, as well as potential accessorial chargesMr*** signed acknowledging, "All locations outside of the Chicagoland area must have trailer access to avoid additional shuttle charge- Shuttle fee is $per cubic feet of goods plus the truck rental fee(to be determined at time of move"We reviewed the details for His previous move, in which he claims the same size truck delivered to the PA location without charge; we found the truck that delivered him previously was a ftstraight truck, the truck that came this time around was a foot semi-tractor trailerUnfortunately, we cannot accurately ascertain the access in most cases until we arrive to the location and sometimes we find that a shuttle service is requiredAt no time do we "hold hostage" the contents of the shipmentMr*** was given the option of having the delivery made to a public storage location with semi access to avoid paying the shuttle fee, which he refusedThe only alternative option, since he refused to pay the shuttle service fee and also refused to accept delivery to a more accessible location, was to then deliver his goods to a public storage facility of our choosing which Mr*** also refused and stated that he would not pay the remaining balance for services already renderedWe regret the circumstances, however, they were unavoidable in this caseMr*** filed a claim which was reviewed and addressed and according to the terms and conditions within the bill of lading and contractual agreementIf he would like his claim reassessed, he's more than welcome to provide receipts of purchase for the items in questions showing their weights to be greater than the weights according to the promover military weights and measures we go byAt this time, Mr*** has received a compensation offer of $which is our current position on this matter

This is one of the scummiest companies in America They moved me from Philadelphia to Florida last January and absolutely jobbed me in several ways:
When they arrived, they found several ways to add to the price of the move
They "lost" (i.estole) numerous items during the move -- golf clubs, stereos, vaccuum cleaners, etcthat all happen to be easily resellable on the aftermarket -- and refused to reimburse
They broke a significant amount of my things and would not offer any compensation for doing so
They purposely attempt to pressure and confuse you when they deliver your stuff -- and like an it, under this pressure I signed paperwork saying the move was complete which they then used as justification for not compensating me for the lost / stolen or damaged items
The sales rep that I worked with would call me once a day prior to the move -- but after there were issues he refused to return any calls
NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING

My furniture was damaged the driver took pictures to prove the damages that they cause to my furniture what company offered me $which I think was an insult I would never recommend this company to move anybodies precious belongings when I refused the $they completely stopped communicating with me

This is NOT a company that should be handling anyone's personal items or be in business! There was NOTHING "EZ" about this move! It was a total nightmare!
This is the only time I have EVER written a review on ANY company They are an unprofessional moving company who is damaging and handling people's personal items The entire team I spoke to lack communication, respect, customer service, professionalism, efficiency or care at all about the customer The person who took my order and misquoted my move, MARYAM ***, the foreman who was a complete nightmare to work with GERALD ***, the claims person who never responded back to any emails or vm after she took the initial claim, MARGARETA *** and the others who pick up the phone but is never helpful and will scream at you if you want any information at all BRIAN and STEVENWhen they came to move me out of my apt they arrived at 3pm knowing that I only had the elevator scheduled for hours from 2pm to 4pm creating quite the disturbance for the apartment management who likes to ensure that all tenants get the time they need for the elevator and sticking to the scheduleI even phoned to EZ Movers at 2:51pm concerned where they wereThe leader of the crew or what you call the foreman was very unprofessional complaining about his job the whole time and how much he dislikes his job and the company he works for...I as the customer is not interested at all hearing his complaints and vents when he is suppose to be focusing on the care of my property He was very unprepared with the paperwork and alarmed me that he does not normally handled the paperwork and was not even suppose to be doing my move Alerting me that the reason why they were so late was because he had to drive from his last assignment which was very far away ...he was not even scheduled to do my move and that EZ Movers should have picked someone closer This to me is very disorganized and did not make the move easy at all for myself or the crew members he brought with him There were several disagreement within the crew which made it very awkward and difficult to focus on getting the job doneOn top of that, the inventory could not be done properly due to the time constraint which was my major concerned I was very concern with my furniture as it was handled very poorlyI watched the entire time my stuff was carried out and even waited outside while the crew was padding my my headboard set which is wood get scratched around the edges This crew did not appear as if they've ever did a move before, the relationship amongst the crew was poor, the behavior in front of the customer was poor, the handling of the furniture was poor, there was nothing easy or professional about this team or move at all There were even times I had to advise the team what had to be doneI was NOT looking forward to them returning my stuff to me, talk about getting screwed overI was given a two hour quote based on the distance and inventory I provided and instead I get charged for hours That is called poor estimation (hours off) and definitely not knowing how timely the team works togetherAgain, the drivers show up hours lateInstead of showing up at 9am as agreed they show up at 10:42am to do paperworkKnowing that they have to be here at 9am from Skokie to downtown Chicago they don't bother to start loading the truck from the warehouse until 7:45am knowing there would be traffic coming into the city, again poor estimation and now poor time management which I have to pay for ...perfect way to rip you offThis untimeliness created yet another issue with the building as another moving truck could not enter at their scheduled timeI requested not to have the same foreman (Gerald ***) who was unprofessional and was the biggest nightmare to work with but "Ez Movers" decided to ignore my request which I made on several of my calls and you send him again! Here I am having to face this guy who I'm thoroughly disgusted with yet again!
It's also a shame that I got no response, phone call, apology or acknowledgement back from my first complaint at all on the disastrous move out of my apartment! I am rejecting this response because:
As I have stated previously, I had already spoken to a dispatcher on the day of my scheduled deliver. After speaking with his driver, the dispatcher stated the driver would come that afternoon to attempt deliver to see if it was possible. The driver never showed up that day. He merely showed up the next day with my furniture loaded up on a shuttle.  At that point, he stated demanded I sign a release for the use of the shuttle or else he would take my items to public storage and that EZ movers would hold onto the key until I paid the shuttle fee. I had never agreed to using the shuttle prior to this point. The driver never said I could get my furniture without paying the shuttle fee. As I stated previously, I only paid the shuttle fee and signed their release under duress (I in fact wrote "under duress" with my signature), as I would not get my furniture without paying for it. This is clearly holding my items hostage, despite their statements to the contrary.  Furthermore, given they had made the same delivery previously, they should have been able to state the likelihood of needing a shuttle in advance and made that part of their delivery estimate. Other semi-trucks have made deliveries down my street and nearby, so I find their claims of not being able to drive their semi down my street false. Sincerely,

We appreciate your patronage and our main goal is to satisfy each and every one of our customers. We realize that the circumstances of your move were less than perfect so please accept our sincere apologies.

I'd like to extend our sincerest apologies for the client's dissatisfaction regarding the damage claim conclusion. We take every precaution to minimize and try to prevent damage from occurring, unfortunately in this case some damage still did occur. The claim conclusion was based on the contractual...

agreement and Mr. [redacted]' elected coverage. During the estimation process Mr. [redacted] was given multiple coverage options; standard valuation protection at extra cost to him, full replace value protection for an additional charge, or insurance through an outside third party moving insurance provider. On the day of the move, Mr. [redacted] elected the standard valuation option releasing his goods at $0.60 per lb per item. The claim was concluded and compensation was offered based on this coverage. I'm sorry that Mr. [redacted] feels this is insufficient, however, we must politely maintain our current position on this matter and leave the offer as is.

The movers were fantastic. They were hardworking and very resourceful They figured out a way to dispose of all my old useless furniture. The quote was accurate and the move was completed on time and on budget.
