Review: I had cavities that needed to be filled. They also told me I needed an inlay restoration. The receptionist, [redacted], told me it was covered by my insurance. She said the insurance company told her it was covered when she called. Therefore, I got the inlay restoration done. When I went to get my teeth cleaned about 6 months later, [redacted] told me I had a $720 balance due! It was not covered by the insurance company after all. I told her I would not have gotten it done if I knew it was not covered. [redacted] sent an appeal letter on my behalf. The insurance company denied it. They said inlay restorations is an optional treatment. I paid the $720 because I would like to keep an excellent credit score.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for this service. I would not have gotten the inlay restoration done if I knew insurance did not cover it. I know [redacted] felt bad about this. However, I have never had this problem with other dental offices I have been to in the past. They were able to accurately tell me if services were covered or not.
