The following is a statement made by store manager *** *** on *** regarding the incident
" I was asked by ***, (*** to go see a lady at the counter, she had a problem with her coffeeThe lady was ***,
she said her decaf didn't taste or smell rightHer*** had bought it around 6:15am that dayIt was close to lunchShe told me the coffee smelled like it had diesel fuel in itThat she had thrown up twice since she drank itBut she had been sick, just finished *** abd was probably still had a *** since being sickShe wanted to keep the coffee in case she got sicker.If it was our cleaner it would be sanitizer and not harmful to herShe told us she was probably still sick from the fluWe replaced her coffee and gave her a coffee promise (coupon)And we also asked her to taste the coffee to make sure it tasted alright to herShe did and said it was perfect."
Further to this I can provide the following informationThe ***, *** did visit the locationOne suggestion was made to modify our detergent dispenser, which we did
In terms of the insurance companyWhenever a request for compensation is made we send the information to the insurance company and they deal directly with the guestThe insurance company then advises us as to what they would suggest as compensation based on their history
I cannot answer to the guests interaction with head office as I do not have that information

*** has received apologies on more than one occasion so I am unsure what a further apology would achieveHer consultation with a lawyer suggests she still expects compensation and I am sorry that the offer we made was not sufficientwe do agree with the insurance company that the offer made is reasonable
I believe her statement "They have taken away my enjoyment of ever drinking coffee again" is an exaggeration at the very least as we continue to see her*** regularly at another location making the same purchase as he did at the *** location prior to this incident
once again I believe we have been honest and fair with this guest and that the heart of the complaint has more to do with the amount of compensation offered than any other reason

My*** still drinks coffee, but they are speculating on the fact that I drink it, I have not purchased or consumed coffee since my experience, they made promises of testing my coffee and did not follow through with those promises and offering me a $*** gift card is nothing more than an insult and is not compensation for my experienceThey changed the way they clean their coffee pots because of my experienceSo because my*** or *** still go and purchase coffee at their store does not mean that it is for meI have not received any apology other than the one I received face to face from the employee the day I visited and did not drink the replacement coffee they provided to meThe franchise owner would not even return my call and they made me feel like I did something wrong and that is wrong, *** I have never consumed coffee since my experience or visited any Tim Horton's since my experienceI have been in their store on a few occations while I waited for a friend to make their purchase, but I will never spend my hard working money at any of their storesThey have already taken ownership of serving me coffee with cleaning solution, they should stick by their agreement and provide me with the outcome of the testing, which was never done according to their insurance representativeThe only thing I asked for was the results of my coffee, which I never got and looking like I will never know, how dishearting from a huge companyI did not ask for any other compensation from this company, they are making it seem like I am looking for other compensation! Well keep your end of the deal and provide me with the results Tim Horton's, or is their something they need to hide in regards to the testingI kept my part of the deal!
