I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11554563, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, we were never advised not to have our items loaded onto the truck. My husband helped the movers and we were all packed. Standard padding should have been provided.  We are filling out the documentation to hopefully reimburse us for the loss and damage.

I am rejecting this response because:  Fastway is supposed to be a professional moving company.  The movers should be able to discard debris from packing materials they provided in the first place.  Derrick in Secaucus promised numerous services that were not provided.  Yes he promised to put my mirror back on the wall.  Yes I was promised whatever was taken apart would be put back together. They took the base of my flat screen television off and now I cant find the screws to put the base back on.I have broken dishes.  I also have a leather chair with a puncture hole in it.  My table is less sturdy due to it being left on its side as was my leather chaise.I paid $2900.00 for services that were not provided.  Again I am going to say the dumpster is diagonal from my apartment complex.  As a matter of fact their are 3 dumpsters in the same location.I spoke to the mover Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  At no time did he have any questions or concerns about anything.He mentioned at least 4 times he had to go to [redacted] for his next job.  I believe he rushed my moving job to get to the next moving job in [redacted].  How would I know that if I wasnt told that?Again phone records don't lie and I can provide them.I am a teacher and Monday was the first day of school.  I could not take off which I told the mover several times.  He assured me my absence would not be a problem.  I spoke to him while he was in the apartment and texted him.  He had no questions about garbage disposal or replacement of items.I am once again disappointed in the reply but not at all surprised. I have pictures of damages and how closed the dumpster is to my apartment complex.  Phone records and pictures do not lie.

I am rejecting this response because Fastway neglected to admit that the reason why my cargo was ceased at the port in [redacted] is due to the fact that Fastway shipped my belongings under an import/export company that I have no knowledge of. Customs cannot release my items because they cannot locate a shipment with my name on it. I truly believe that Fastway committed some sort of irregularity which is costing me my cargo. The customs's agent in [redacted] already confirmed that there is no shipment at the port in [redacted] under my name. They cannot locate a single document that evidences that the cargo belongs to me, and I signed a lot of documents to ship my items accordingly. I have personal belongings in that cargo that can never be recovered or replaced - family photos, gifts, toys for my grandson who has special needs - none of which I will see again. I paid for those items as well as for the shipment cost, which was over $8,000. Fastway blames the authorities in [redacted], but the real problem was the company's shipping practice which has been investigated by agencies that I contacted such as  the CT Attorney General's Office, Custom & Border Protection and Federal Maritime Commission.I did not see that coming, and will not give up until my cargo is delivered to its destination. I cannot be punished by Fastway's bad business practices.

All services agreed were performed. Any misplaced item is due to Mrs. [redacted] were not present at delivery and didn't have anyone assigned to guide the movers. Any damage related she has to contact our claim department and they will handle it accordingly. Thanks.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have the phone records to prove I spoke to the mover on Sunday and Monday.  Again I was not given 24 hours notice of delivery even if I was or was not in [redacted].  24 hours notice would have been after 2:00 pm on Sunday not Sunday morning.  I am not surprised at all by the companies response.  I will send the record of incoming and out going phone calls for Sunday and Monday with the movers phone number at any time to prove that my statements are true.   I also have pictures of how my apartment was left which has nothing at all to do with whether I was at home or not. Their also was no excuse for not putting my television back on the base as it was removed by Fastway Moving. Also Fastway promised to put a heavy and expensive mirror back on the wall.  I left instructions and it was just placed on the floor.  I paid for services that were not rendered.  If you are professional movers getting paid, you discard your trash.   I also have pictures of the proximity of where the dumpster is in relation to the building I reside in. I hope others will read this before deciding on this company to move your precious belongings.

As mentioned by the customer, Fastway Moving was contracted by [redacted]. We prioritized the job and picked it up on the date it was requested. When we arrived at the customer's house, it was advised to our foreman that everything was ready to go. No packing was needed. The foreman...

advised us that they were pressured for time and wanted everything loaded as is.Even though we advised the customer that no move is performed in such way, they proceeded to ask the crew to load it into the truck.The company took note how the items arrived in the storage and became aware the some items got damaged in the process. Fastway Moving pride itself on the fast turn-around ratings. We delivered the items well before the agreed 3-14 business day turn around time. After the items were delivered, we advised the customer once again that our company does not operate in such fashion and recommended that they would contact our insurance policy toreimburse them for all their damaged goods.This process is currently underway and currently waiting on insurance settlement letter so we can cut the check for the agreed value.As for the missing items, its out for delivery by the end of today's date.

As per Mrs [redacted] requested first available delivery day, she was available anytime from the 27th. Which is also not true, we got there on 08/02 and she was not even in **, more than enough reason to put her belongs in storage and charge storage fee and re-delivery. but we worked this out with her and waited till monday. We NEVER promised to hang any mirror on the wall since this is not our job and we are not liable for this. All the packing material left behind belongs to Mrs. [redacted] and its not our job either to take it back, we as a courtesy dispose to clients when is possible on their on garbage receptacle, which was not available.

We tried to contact the client a few times to resolve the issues and we are waiting for him to call us back.

I am rejecting this response because:  If the movers had not been negligent my belongings would not have been damaged in the first place.  If the movers would have disposed of the trash, they would not have had to pile up furniture and boxes.As a result they should be responsible for the loss and damage of my belongings.  The dumpster is visible from the front of the building.  The mover had no excuse for not providing services that was promised to me.

Review: On July 31, 2014, I hired Fastway to ship household/furniture items to my vacation home in [redacted]. The total cost of the items is over US$8,000, and the shipping service fee I paid was US$7,540, with guaranteed delivery of 60 days after shipment. I traveled 3 times to [redacted] to receive the items, and they were never delivered. Contact the company owner, [redacted], numerous times, and every time was a different excuse to explain why my items was not delivered.

I don't know where my items are, and there is no expectation of receiving them. My loss has amounted to over US$20,000 in merchandise, shipping cost and airline tickets.

I do not recommend the services provided by that company. It has been a real nightmare for my family and I to deal with that company.Desired Settlement: What I want is that my items be delivered at the destination ([redacted]) intact as agreed, and that Fastway be legally scrutinized for its practice so nobody else will have to face the situation I am presently in.

I hired Fastway to move my belongings from New Jersey to North Carolina. First they gave me one price then I had to pay 1000 over that price. I was informed I would have 2-3 days notice before delivery. The delivery company called the day before which was Saturday to deliver Sunday. I was in New Jersey at the time retrieving more belongings. They delivered Monday. I informed the driver several times I just started a new teaching job and could not take off. I asked him to please come Monday afternoon. He said he couldn't. I got home and there empty boxes and plastic left all over the apartment. My couch was left upright the mirror was not put back up nor the glass put back on my end tables. Of course I call Derrick in secaucus to complain. I sent him pictures of the mess. I also sent him pictures of numerous broken and or damaged items. He sends an email saying it was my fault because I wasn't home. I spoke to the driver at least 3 times while he was in my apartment. I left stickies upon his request so he would know where to place items. I was informed by Derrick my home was left a mess and items damaged because they couldn't reach me. I spoke to the driver by phone and by text. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. They lied the moment I spoke to them damaged my property and had the nerve to say it was my fault. I paid 2900 for what? I hope the owner of the company reads this so he or she knows how terribly customers are treated. I'm going to fill out an insurance claim but I'm sure they'll come up with a way not to pay for my damaged items.

Review: [redacted] delivery of personal items for a relocation to [redacted] from [redacted] was paid in full but no service has been rendered.

Entered into a contract with Teo A[redacted] of Fastway Moving on 11 December 2014 to have personal items moved from [redacted] to [redacted]

Contracted shipping date from SP was 15 Dec 2014.

[redacted] CC payment in the amount of $1,790.00 USD was authorized and completed on 12 Dec 2014.

Items were packed and removed from our home in SP on 12 Dec 2014 by a 3rd party company, A[redacted] hired by Fastway.

Teo A[redacted] of Fastway provided a delivery estimate of 26 Jan 2015 - 30 Jan 2015.

Fastway has not responded to numerous information and status requests via telephone and email from mid Dec though 3 Feb.

After threatening legal action via voice message, Fastway contacted made contact on 4 Feb and informed that the items have not shipped and are still in [redacted]

Fastway has yet to provide a delivery status or a credit for the completed payment of non services.

Now that I've relocated to [redacted], Fastway has claimed that the documentation necessary to complete this delivery must be completed in person, in [redacted]Desired Settlement: Looking for Fastway to immediately ship contents to:

via [redacted] or [redacted] Express service. All costs for this express shipment including customs, transportation, delivery, fuel, legal, as well as any and all other costs should be absorbed by Fastway and wholly their responsibility.

The original payment of $1,790.00 USD should be also be refunded or reduced.
