Review: On June **, 2014 Finishline Carting completed a concrete, masonry and landscaping job at my home. The total cost of the job was $18,800. In February of 2015 the surface of the concrete started to crumble on both the sidewalk and driveway. I contacted the owner, Brian M[redacted], via text message about the issue. On April *, 2015 he came to inspect the concrete. On May *, 2015 in a text message conversation he stated that he would cover the labor costs of repairing the concrete and that it would be my responsibility to cover the cost of the concrete. He further stated that the concrete supplier agreed to sell the concrete at half price. I agreed to the settlement. I have been in contact with him via text message and have called the company office. I have not received a response and no repairs have been made.Desired Settlement: I would like the repairs made as per my agreement with the owner.

Review: We are unable to move forward on the [redacted] project since the contractor (Finishline Carting Corp) has failed to provide proper documentation of qualifications or evidence of workers compensation and disability insurance. As related to us, Finishline Carting Corp said they would send this documentation as soon as we sent a 50% deposit check in the amount of $10,000, which we mailed the day of the request on Sept **, 2014. However, with the exception of general liability insurance, none of the proper documentation was ever forthcoming. When asked for their registration with [redacted]), Finishline Carting Corp instead sent their registration with the [redacted]. A search of the [redacted] website by both myself and our expeditor failed to find any registration for Finishline Carting Corp. When asked for evidence of their workers compensation and disability insurance, Finishline Carting Corp sent a certificate of exemption from this insurance, which is not acceptable to the [redacted]. Despite numerous follow up requests, we were unable to obtain the proper documentation of workers compensation and disability insurance despite being told repeatedly that it was on its way. We are at a point now where we are ready to file for the work permit, and can no longer hold up this project waiting for a non-communicative contractor.

The return of $10,000 deposit has not been returned.
