First Urology, PSC Reviews (6)

I went to First Urology for an office visit on March 13th of this yearI paid my co-pay and saw the doctor One month later I get a bill says that I owe $for the doctor to tell me that I need to quit smoking.! First I know I need to quit smoking My regular doctor has had me on Chantix for some timeHow do you charge someone for something my doctor has already prescribed medication forThey said it was because my insurance tells them they have to charge me for thisI then contacted my insurance company and explained what they said and faxed a copy of their letter they sent to me stating the reason for the chargeMy insurance company contacted them and First Urology said we charge this on all Medicare patientsI'm years old and not on Medicare At that time they told my insurance company they would reverse the chargeToday I received another bill from First urology saying I still owe the moneyI'm currently waiting for a return phone call from the supervisor

Found blood on my pillow for my first biopsy They require that you make a follow up appointment just get routine results They performed a biopsy using a procedure not approved by very good insurance I have been a patient there for several years, with skepticism After charging me for an unapproved procedure added to a routine process, costing me hundreds of dollars, I just won't go back
DrPecha is a decent fellow but I still can't recommend this place

Office staff polite Office staff never ask me to fill out paperwork or offer insurance card Doctor came in and proceeded to give me results for test I never had done I was billed to visit $ When I said I was not going to pay and that I was going to a different doctor in the same office, they said they would look into the situation I got no response until two month later I received a bill for $for the services of the first and second doctor The deposit of $was not listed on the bill I complained and the office said they would look into it Still waiting

customer. We should not have billed him for this service. It was an error made by our billing department and we have adjusted our processes so this should not happen again in the future. We have written off the balance, have made no reports to any credit bureaus and have notified the customer of our mistake and resolution. We hope this is acceptable to him and that we are able to serve him in the future.Sent on: 1/19/2016 4:41:27 PM

I went to First Urology for an office visit on March 13th of this year. I paid my co-pay and saw the doctor. One month later I get a bill says that I owe $27 for the doctor to tell me that I need to quit smoking.! First I know I need to quit smoking. My regular doctor has had me on Chantix for some time. How do you charge someone for something my doctor has already prescribed medication for. They said it was because my insurance tells them they have to charge me for this. I then contacted my insurance company and explained what they said and faxed a copy of their letter they sent to me stating the reason for the charge. My insurance company contacted them and First Urology said we charge this on all Medicare patients. I'm 40 years old and not on Medicare. At that time they told my insurance company they would reverse the charge. Today I received another bill from First urology saying I still owe the money. I'm currently waiting for a return phone call from the supervisor.
