I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , a partial refund of our security deposit of $is satisfactory

We have reviewed the most recent response from *** ***. Once again, we acknowledge
and empathize with the hardships he and his roommate endured due to the major
flood of June 2014. If he was
dissatisfied with our handling of any incidents related to the flood this was
not communicated to us at the time. It
was only when he received his final statement that he found cause to
complain. In addition, Mr*** spoke with our office on July
23, and agreed to a resolution of charges over the phone. He apparently has opted out of this verbal
agreement. In the interest of customer service and to show that we
have carefully considered Mr***’s year old concerns, we agree to
reverse all charges related to cleaning and damages. While we do feel these charges are entirely
appropriate, given the condition of the apartment that Mr*** and his
roommate left behind, we feel it is important to resolve this issue. It also would have been appropriate to have
received complaints at the time of occurrence so that we could have worked with
him to resolve any problems in June 2014. The charge for the missing Community Center Access Card
will remain on the account. This a
$charge that will be deducted from their $security deposit. If Mr*** or his roommate are able to
locate and return the card, their account will be credited $75.00. In the meantime, if this proposal is
acceptable to Mr***, we will forward a security deposit refund check
in the amount of $75.00. Please advise whether this resolution is acceptable to
Mr***.*** ***Senior General ManagerFox & Hounds Apartments

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], a partial refund of our security deposit of $75 is satisfactory.

The flooding incident described by Mr. [redacted] occurred in June 2014.  Unfortunately, it
was a major weather event for all of Columbus, an “act of God” that could not
have been prevented.  The Fox &
Hounds staff worked extensively with all impacted residents, including...

Mr.
[redacted] and his roommate.  He was
transferred to a different apartment within the community as a result of the
flood.  We were not aware he was
dissatisfied with our handling of the flood incident from over a year ago until
he disagreed with his recent move-out charges.Mr. [redacted] spoke with Fox & Hounds Accounting
Specialist [redacted] on July 23, 2015.
She discussed the flood incident with him and advised if he was unhappy
with how things were resolved a year ago, he should have brought it up a year
ago.  He was told the move-out charges
are not related to the flood, but with the condition he and his roommate left
the apartment—an apartment that was not impacted by the flood. In an attempt to reach a resolution, Ms. [redacted] offered to
remove the $25.00 charge for oven cleaning provided the $30.03 remaining
balance was paid promptly.  Mr.
[redacted] indicated that he accepted this offer and that his check would be
forthcoming.  To date, the payment has
not been received and based upon this complaint, it appears Mr. [redacted] has
changed his mind about resolving the matter.  We continue to hold his account open for the $30.03
remaining balance due.  We hope to
receive this payment soon. [redacted]Senior General ManagerFox & Hounds Apartments

I am rejecting this response because of the reasons provided in my original complaint.  Just because we did not complain about the flooding when it occurred, does not mean that we were treated correctly, there is not "statute of limitations" on poor business practices. We will not pay a dime to the Fox and Hounds as, if anything, they owe us compensation as moving costs exceed our security deposit.  We are only asking for our full deposit back, which is more than reasonable.
