Review: I have been using this cleaner since they opened. The last few months I have noticed my clothes coming back with problems. In particular a pair of pants that I paid 250.00 dollars for. They had cleaned them and returned them with a shine. I complained and they said it was the material, I checked with Nordstroms and they said it was the way they were pressed because of the spandez they can't have an iron directly on the material. My steamstress said the same thing. The owner has refused to make good, he tried to remove the shine and when I looked at them today they have lost all of the material intregrity and still have some of the shine. I told him he owes me a pair of pants and he wanted to send them to be tested. I asked him than what-no response. When I went to pick up the pants the girls knew nothing about any attempt to correct my situation. But they did say they had to replace another customer's dress with the same material blend. This tells me this is a cleaner problem. These pants are ruined.Desired Settlement: This cleaner owes me a pair of pants just like the ones I brought and originally took into him. Needless to say I will be using another store due to my years of loyalty and the way this has been handled this is unacceptable business practices. I had to continually try to reach him and even when he knew I was very displeased he really could have cared less.

I must apologize to Ms. [redacted] if she felt I did not take her complaint seriously. We have been voted one of Lodi’s best dry cleaner services in the past and we pride ourselves on our quality and service.

We process a number of garments of the material type mentioned in the letter and we have a procedure for this material. I cannot say with 100% certainty that an error was not made in processing this particular pair of pants. We are reviewing our procedure to see what improvements may be needed to prevent the possibility of this happening in the future.

I would like to offer two different proposals to resolve this issue in a timely manner.

1. Because Ms. [redacted] has been a customer of ours since we opened our business, I would like to offer a credit of $250 for future dry cleaning.

2. Because the pants did have some wear before this incident, I could offer $100 cash and a credit of $150 on future dry cleaning.

3. Bring your purchase receipt and we will go by the International Fabrication Institute to determine a Fabric

Quality and service is the mainstay of my business. Without them I would have no business. Please reconsider your decision to take your business elsewhere and let’s discuss how one of the two options listed above will work best for you. I value your past business and I look forward to the opportunity to provide our quality and service to you in the future.

I am rejecting this response because: the problem started with the first cleaning of the pants and I disregarded the unacceptable cleaning for two reasons: one being the shine only appeared on the legs and seemed to be isolated and I was told by his staff it was due to the fabric Nordstrom's was using. In good faith and as a trusting soul I accepted that response. When the problem continued to become worse as the pants were cleaned and I had a couple of other items of clothing that had problems, actually a skirt I can't wear any longer and a jacket and sweater that is now to tight, I began to talk more assertively with his staff.

I was told the problem with my pants had occurred before with another customer's dress. I then had the opportunity to get back up to Sacramento and talked to the store. They said they have never had any complaints before with these pants or heard of anything from the manufacturer about a defect in the material that would cause this. Again these were not an inexpensive item of clothing they cost me 250.00 dollars and were purchased thru one of the fine clothing departments at Nordstrom's.

I have since spoken to my tailor and she also confirmed that with the blend of material my pants were if there is any direct pressing on the outside of the pants they will develop a shine.
