On 1/17/18, a roofing subcontractor and a Service Department representative met Mrs. [redacted] at her home to evaluate her concerns, and the Service Department representative, roofer and Mrs. [redacted] arrived at an understanding with regard to addressing the area of the ceiling of concern to...

Additionally, an agreement was reached that exterior roofing repairs will be addressed this coming spring when the weather is suitable to allowing such repairs to be performed without damaging the existing roof. On the same day as the inspection, I was provided with the report below from the service department representative which addresses particulars of the homeowner's concerns. The service technician included photographs taken at the time that he inspected the home's attic, and the photographs reveal that at the time of the inspection, the extreme and unusual weather may have caused an unusual build-up of moisture in the attic that resulted in the ceiling stain reported by the homeowner. 1/17/18 - 9:am. I could not see where there was an actual leak, but I did see plenty of evidence of a humidity buildup that was frosting in the attic. This could explain a stain on a ceiling after this frost started to thaw and dripped, if the water found its way to a seam on the ceiling. Why there is such moisture buildup in the attic is not perfectly clear. The soffits were moving air, but the hat vents were partly covered with snow. I explained humidifier use, the fresh air intake systems installed on there furnace, and I recommended the use of the ventilation fans when showering. It is my hope that keeping in mind how these things affect humidity in a new home will help to prevent so much moisture buildup in the future. At this point the ceiling stain can just be primered, and the insulation looks to be fine and free of mold. There will be other roof repairs done in the spring, I will return then to address the stain.
I'm awaiting those final details of evaluation from Jim L[redacted] at Homewood Homes before I can fully accept business response. Looks like we are headed in the right direction. Look forward to accepting final response from business to completion of work/project.
3.13.17 Message from consumer regarding Homewood Homes and subcontractor [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: We picked out the new tile on Jan 4 2017 and this was delivered and installed ( in the master shower only not in guest shower ) a few weeks later in January and this is the FIRST time I'm hearing of this !!!! [redacted] never once communicated this information to me !! Not in January , not in February , not in their first response to the Revdex.com!!!!!Strange that they never communicated this to the customer ? Not once ? Kevin installed the tile in master in the middle of January but not one person from [redacted] mentioned the tile was from the same lot ?!!! IF this were true , this would have been their first response to me . They would have contacted me immediately!!!!!!I wonder why this was never brought to my attention until after the Revdex.com claim ??Horrible customer serivice ... just string your clients along and take your good ole time . Especially a client who was waiting for their bathrooms since closing on their brand new house Nov 21,2016. IF this is a FACT ? I'm not sure how true this story is ? For this reason alone [redacted] deserves an F rating with the Revdex.com . No wonder they have such horrible reviews on social media .Even If this batch was ordered from the same factory lot # . I spoke to [redacted] from [redacted] Tile and he explained that this particular tile is made at 4 different locations across the U.S . He said you can order two batches of the same tile from one factory and they will be slightly off in color. You have to use all the tile from the same batch to get a really good color match . [redacted] explained to me that many things affect the tile color ... the time of year the tile is baked and weather conditions when the tile is baked . This why you can have two different tiles from the same factory lot . This is why [redacted] text me that he was waiting on all of these new batches of tiles to be shipped in January 2017 . We were advised yesterday by the legal counsel for the complainant that resolution is forthcoming and that a draft agreement was to be presented to the complainant to sign in order to bring closure to this concern.
