Mr [redacted] was informed on the phone by me that their would be a possiblity of leakage on the a/c system, that is why we always add leak detector when recharging a systemHe verbally gave approval to proceedWhen he called after picking up and said it wasn't cooling, remended him I had told him that may happen and to bring it back to check for dye leakage. There is nothing we did to cause the generator to leak oil - once we got it running, changed the oil and filter as he wantedThe generator isn't leaking from the oil filter which is the only thing we did

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
When I picked up the rv they did not tell that it might leakActually they did not say anything They should have tested the rv right before the pick up and inform me that it leaked out after few daysThey just let me took the rv assuming that it is coolingI picked up the Rv and a/c was not cooling at allblowing warm airThey are not telling the truthFirst they did not tell that it might leakthey should have checked it before letting the rv out of the shop and the customer assume that they fixed it and got chargedSecondIf the leak was that big, which leaked out after a few days while the rv was therethey should have noticed that when they put the dye and leak detectorThird, when I called them as soon as I left the shop , they did not tell me we told you it might leak They told me bring it back next week I still do not believe a word they are say about the oil leak on the generator It did not have a oil leak before and it happened right after they changed the oil.

The customer was advised when I spoke to him regarding the dash a/c recharge that there was a possibility of it not holding the charge due the the fact the vehicle was 16 years old and only 21,000 miles, therefore we added the dye in case it would leak. The dash a/c was recharged on 9/18/15 and...
putting out 38 degree air and holding pressures. Vehicle was picked up a week later-9/25/15 and not cooling - obviously during that week leaked out the charge. The leak detector verified that.As far as the generator - was not running when it came in - needed a carburetor which after install did run, and then we changed the oil & filter. Hours on the generator at this time were 166. No oil leaks were detected at that time. Upon return, the generator had 192 hours - in other words had been run for 26 hours after picked up, and is leaking oil from the engine area - NOT from the oil filter. It is our experience with these like the a/c, when not used for so many years and then starting to use again, seals and gaskets that have sat have dried up. Nothing we did is related to the oil leak.
