In [redacted] of 2014 had received estimate on a job that needed to be done on my roof. I had issues with my chimney. In [redacted] of 2014 person was contacted concerning my roof and and work that needed to be done for water damage. Person was hired to perform the work. Person was paid with bank check, copy will be available. In [redacted] of 2015, I noted my the brick in my house was showing signs of water damage. Called in [redacted] but person and received no call back. Called again and person explained he did not have his phone. Explained my situation and he did come to my home and informed me that the mortar had not hardened and he showed me and said he would take care of it. I explained that there was damage to my brick inside and from then I have made multiethnic calls/texts to get the situation resolved. As of [redacted] my last text wife stated he had surgery the previous [redacted] On this past [redacted] I also had my roof/chimney looked at by another person who proceeded to show me how he could put his finger under the lead and how poorly the job was done. Also pointed out the multicolor of slates on my roof. Pictures will be taken as well as an estimate of the work that needs to be done to repair my roof. Due to the roof issue I sustained damage to my bricks inside my house. [redacted] who last year after my roof was supposedly repaired, fixed my water damage,have been called and they came and re evaluated my brick and are questioning mold. Awaiting estimate for repairs. It just is frustrating because he has made no real attempt to help and unfortunately I feel this is the only to get help with this situation..Desired SettlementI am seeking this person to pay for the new repairs that need to be done. Due to his supposed repairs of my roof, I ended up having more water damage and ? Mold. I have contacted [redacted] who had already repaired the water damage from the previous year to re evaluate the new damage. I am waiting to get an estimate. I have also contacted a chimney specialist who stated on evaluating my roof that it was done poorly. Pictures as well as a report of what needs to be done will be available. So on top of the inside repair of water damage, I am seeking this person to also pay for the roof repairs to my roof/chimney area.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] PresidentContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]what happened was when I first went there she had already had a contractor there and did whatever he did and made a royal mess of the chimney and roof I have pix of it all when I first got there and it was in some serious rough shape so I said we would reload the chimney and replace shingles around it like I said I have all the pictures of that it was a total disaster so we did our thing by releasing chimney and replace the shingles and we did not solve the problem it was already leaking very badly so she called me back I went there and I saw the mortar did not settle rt so we remortered and again that was noy the problem so after a bit of time she called I went through some bad health issues and when I was in hospital my wife responded and when I was able to I sent a refund check for the sum of [redacted] dollars what she said me cause we obviously did not fix issues the damage to inside was already there before we did anything and as far as u been able to stick ur hand under lead yes u should be able to cause half of the lead steps under shingle and other hlf lays on top of shingle so yes u can always lift part of it up I have never screwed anyone and I never will thank u for hearing my side best regards [redacted] from **Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)My issue is he should of communicated to me that he was not able to do the job. He never stated this to me because if he had I would of found a competent person that could of been able to. Which I have found, and I too have pictures. Due to his lack of communication I am now having to have all the work redone. Yes he sent me a check for [redacted] But due to his lack of communication I am now having to spend an additional [redacted] after you subtract the [redacted] This whole situation could of been avoided if he had just talked to me and told me the extent of damage and said he could not do the job. I have texts from [redacted] telling me he could not do the job. I feel I should be compensated more for his lack of communication which has now caused more financial demands on my part.
