Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: even though they offered help, we made numerous phone calls to them, our answer was always we'll get right back to you, playing phone tag for several days, told us that they wern't going to doing anything, yes in fact they did give us a nunber to call to see about getting the car fix, but nothing was ever said they were going to take the car over,my wife trusted in them that she was getting a good used car and needed good transportation to take our granddaughter to pre school, doc vist, ect , not knowing if the car was going to run our die, we couldn't take that chance and having them stuck somewhere, for i'm and out of town alot, all we are asking that they hep pay for some of the repairs, how can you trust someone after only putting miles on the car and that what happens, me personaly find that very poor bussiness matter, also knowing that we did buy the car as as is but really, my wife drove the short time before that happen, then it sat in our drive way waiting to get an answer from them, another two weeks later I took the car up to a more professional to get the work done, the car is still being work on at our expence, so all there discounts they talked about really did't matter because now we have to come up with more money to get it fixed, they should do the right thing and take care of this issue, I can guartee you folks and anybody after this they shouldn't even be aloud to have a business, I would almost call it mis leadingSincerely,*** ***

[redacted] purchased a 2005 Subaru Outback from G&R Auto Sales on 04/29/2016. [redacted] wife, [redacted], came to the dealership first and test drove and inspected the vehicle and was happy with the vehicle and decided she would like to have her husband test drive and inspected vehicle ,and then...

purchase it for her.  [redacted], chose a 2005 Subaru Outback XT , stock # 10471. List price was $12,999.00 and we had a sale on that weekend and that particular vehicle was advertised for $10,999.00 if someone paid all cash. The [redacted] wanted to finance the Subaru so I obtained bank financing for [redacted]. Even though we had to wait several days for funds from the lending institution, as a gesture of good-will, I gave the [redacted] an additional $500 discount off of the "cash sale" price making the price....$10,499 and in addition to that, I also discounted the "documentary" fee of $150.00......down to....$50.00. Total discounts from list price they get a is- $2,600.00. [redacted] mentioned that the "oil pan" had fallen down, when in fact a plastic radiator / engine shield had a couple of clips come undone and was causing it to sag, which we fixed promptly in a matter of 5 minutes. A couple of weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I received a call from [redacted] stating that the vehicle had lost power when they were driving on freeway. I told them then and at the time of the sale that we always extend help to our customer's in the form of our wholesale parts, discounted labor costs at the mechanical shop that we use in Kirkland and also offered them a free diagnostic evaluation at the same shop, to which Mrs. [redacted] declined because they like "[redacted]" in Lynnwood......a shop which charged them (the [redacted]s) $359.20 just to diagnose the problem, which they determined to be faulty front catalytic converter and a pre-catalytic converter, they quoted an "incredibly" high estimate of $2520.03.

It is unfortunate that the [redacted] experienced some issues with their Subaru less than a month after purchasing it, but......whether it be one month or one week, it is a used vehicle and sold as such with over 15 different customer signatures acknowledging that fact. At the time of purchase, the [redacted] couldn't be more happy with the vehicle, thanking us over & over for selling them such a nice vehicle.
Even though the vehicle was sold AS-IS with no warranty  whatsoever, implied or otherwise, G&R Auto's position remains the same....we are ready and willing to assist the [redacted] with any help they may need in the form of....our wholesale cost on any parts they may need now or in the future, and willing to offer our 50+ years knowledge in the car business in order to help them make an informed decision on how to proceed with the repairs of their Subaru.
