Review: Dear ma'am or sir:

My name is [redacted] and I am a Ph.D. student at Gallaudet University where I lived for two years.

When I checked out of my dormitory in [redacted] Hall I went through the checkout list that was agreed upon by the residential advisor. Moreover, when I asked the residential advisor if there was anything else that I need to do to checkout he assured me that I do not and because I have checked out of my dormitory room without damages I will recieve my deposit back.

Last week I recieved an email from our university's office of residence life explaining that they have a form and because I have not sent it to them I am too late to recieve my deposit. They believe that tey sent me this email but I have no email of any sort. Furthermore, they cannot find the previous emails they sent me.

They did not have this form last year and it is described no where in their online or paper contract. They simply cannot send students an email 6 weeks past the deadline saying "you cannot get your deposit becaus e you did not fill-out this form" when they never sent or gave out this form. Nevertheless, I sent the form when I finally did recieve the email and to no consequence. Gallaudet University cannot scam their students out of a last $200 deposit for no reason.

Like I said, I am a Ph.D. Student and truly rely on every dollar I have to get to the net [redacted]'s financial obligations. I am really hoping I can get some help to rectify this issue. Furthermore, I want an additional $100 from the office of residence life for several hours of trobule going back and forth and for my overdraft fees as a result of their issue. Lastly, if they did need to send me this form. By checking out, asking if they need any other forms, reviewing the policy and contract outlining how to check-out for a deposit and communicating with them about having a new apartment an not returning to on-campus hosing they should have sent the form or understood that I am not living on-campus.
