See attached PdfBusiness Response [redacted] Mazda repaired damage to power steering pump and related parts please see repair order provided by customer.The Customers insurance company adjustor inspected damage and agreed with needed repairs The adjustor was also advised that the connector to the pump was slightly melted . The insurance adjuster declined to replace wiring as he felt it was not melted enough to replace .The insurance company also had the option to obtain a fluid sample if they had any doubt on [redacted] Mazda diagnostic evaluation. Please also note insurance company also only authorized used parts be installed even though steering is a safety issue.[redacted] also contacted Mazda corp tech line Case XXXXXX and confirmed diagnostic .Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The wiring harness repair was done by a Mazda dealership not an independent garage which I advise you of in my 11/26/13 note. Once again you are pushing the blame to someone else. I have been in close contact with Hanover and I am dealing with the adjuster supervisor. #1 When it comes to a safety issue such as steering Hanover is not goint to "cut corners" an after market pump is not a "used part" I am in claims so I know how it works. Why is it so difficult for you to tell me why you did not call me when you recommended the wiring harness be replaced and my carrier did not approve it. As the owner of the vehicle I should have been advised of that and then addressed it with the adjuster or paid for the repair myself. Instead you did nothing and let the vehicle drive off and then when I called the Monday after the steering failed and spoke with Roger Hanks who told me he was "not surprised"!! Yet you ramble on about factory standards....The REPAIR to the wiring harness was done by Mazda of Milford the steering has been perfect since.....The repair order was in my daughter's name, Emily [redacted], she only drives the car I am the owner and my name is on the registration. Issue of the pump aside you let the vehicle leave your lot knowing full well that the steering may fail again. Final Business Response [redacted] Mazda did recommend wiring harness replacement to adjustor which was not authorized. The additional wiring repair made for a few hundred dollars by an independent garage may not be up to factory standards.The vehicle steering pump was working when repair completed at [redacted] and would have continued to do so if wiring harness was authorized by insurance company.The Fact is that the vehicle was not built with used parts and repaired wiring harness is the reason [redacted] would recommend a wiring harness and new parts.[redacted] would be more than happy to review This matter with Hanover Insurance should they have any questions related to this repair .[redacted] Mazda did refer to the judgment of the insurance adjustor this vehicle was repaired as per estimate and did work when completed.The fact that Hanover did not authorize new parts on a steering issue is also of concern which would be better factory new parts? And a new wiring harness, or used parts and a repaired harness.The fact that Mrs. [redacted] is reporting stolen gift cards should be reported to the Police regardless who she thinks stole them .People should always report a crime.The matter that vehicle was original repaired with used parts and incorrect fluid should also be reported to Hanover Insurance. The fact that insurance adjustor did not include wiring harness,replacement or repair should also be addressed to Hanover Insurance.[redacted] Mazda would be happy to perform any supplemental repairs authorized by insurance company.Please also note this repair order is not listed under name [redacted]The Repair order is under the Name [redacted]

Complaint[redacted] Volvo failed to fix problems with my vehicle that were made known to the service facility when the vehicle was delivered to them for repair. The vehicle was delivered to them with the check engine light on and squealing belts. $ 838.00 later, the vehicle was returned to me with the belt problem clearly not corrected. The service manager made no effort to have the vehicle reexamined by his mechanics. A shouting match ensued and it is clear that this particular service manager is not interested in customer service or resolving issues.Desired SettlementPersonal contact with the business owner to discuss his employees professionalism.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@gallocars.comCustomer had multiple concerns on this repair visit . The check engine was repaired at a cost of 684.56, tires rotated 22.95 ,lights repaired 14.63 ,alignment 89.95 .The squeel noise was not evident when vechicle was being worked on and dealer did not charge any $$$ for this concern . The Service manager explained to customer that the belt squeel was not detected at time of repair even tho it was presant when car was picked up . [redacted] Volvo would be happy to assist customer in diagnoiseing squeel concern .
