The Geo Climate Control service tech went to the [redacted] residence 2 times since the system was installed for two different damper motor replacements. Normal cost for the damper motor is $78.00.  Typical service charge is $120.00. The...

customer was not billed for the part on either of these occasions.
The previous damper motors did occasionally suffer from a factory defect, which is why they were not billed for the part.
The unit was also subjected to normal service checks during the visit.
The [redacted] residence is a 76 mile round trip from our office in [redacted].

Review: We had a geo thermal system installed in fall of 2009. Since then, we had Geo Climate Control Inc. do repairs to the damper 3-4 times. The company initially stated they are having problems and they think they fixed it. The system has been repaired twice since then. The most recent is July 2014. My husband and I received an invoice for said repair. My husband called Geo Climate Control Inc. to discuss the charges, question why the dampers keep having issues and if there is another repair option to prevent further issues. He called twice for the week of July 21-25 and again on July 29 leaving a message each time. All with no return calls. I contacted WaterFurnace to see if there are any other reported issues with the same system. They replied that there are no warranty claims for dampers on my system and they are not sure if the dampers were ordered through them. My husband and I are unsatisfied with their customer service and their repairs to the dampers sine the problem keeps happening.Desired Settlement: We would like to not be billed for repairs to the damper and for labor to repair damper since this is a revolving issue that Geo Climate Control Inc. is aware of. Are there any other solutions to prevent recurring issues? We would also like to know where the damper was ordered from and the warranty coverage included.

Geo Climate Control service rates are $120 for initial hour and $60 for every additional hour. We only charged the [redacted] $135 for the more then two hours of labor. They were not charged for the damper motor. John K[redacted] also told [redacted] the bill would be written off.
