Attention Revdex.com assigned ID# ***;Good day, I am responding to (DeIT made to *** *** by Manderbach ***.Estimate was written for repairs by me for the amount of which was an estimate sent to *** *** insurance*** *** insurance sent an
estimator to inspect her vehicle and emailed me their estimate of recordTheir estimate had additional parts and repairs not included on my estimatein parts in labor + tax if added to my original estimate would have taken my repair estimate to 5122.23, off of insurance estimateRepairs were made to *** *** vehicle per that estimate of record*** *** was sent payment by her insurance for the estimate amount of less her deductible which would amount to 4888.14.The only negligence on my part was that I did not explain to *** *** the difference and additional work performed between the two estimatesManderbach *** has been in business for over years selling, repairing and servicing VehiclesWe have built a reputation of fare and honest work and continue to practice that every dayTo insinuate gouging is very hurtful to our reputation and is simply not the caseI have been a manger since and licensed by the state so again my reputation is also at stake. In summary, the negligence on my part not explaining the difference between the estimate from Manderbach *** and *** *** insurance company and repair procedure is what the matter is at handIf *** *** still feels we have done anything unethical after reading this and still seeks compensation please let me knowIt would only be done as good business gesture for the cause of not explaining repair procedure.Lastly we again repaired *** *** vehicle by her insurance estimate of record.Sincerely,Paul A***Body Shop Manager

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Part of the issue with the complaint, and what prompted me to file this report, was the rude behavior of the owner of the business George M***To me, that was just as bad as the financial errors He is the one that did not make any effort to explain the extra work, and now he is making the Manager Paul A*** take the blame for his incompetenceI still do not know specifically what the extra work was for, I only have a description of extra partsI am a person that wants to know exactly what I am paying for, maybe other people do not care but I doI am still waiting for a written apology from George M***He needs to be held accountable as a business owner for his misbehaviorI feel he still does not get it

I am rejecting this response because: Manderbach ford before offering any...

type of recommendation to rectify the situation ignored all emails and phone calls previous to me bringing my vehicle in to [redacted] in Norristown for over a month, I had no other option than to bring it to another dealer. After being ignored for a month and getting through to Brad M[redacted] (the owner) who's still wasn't told about having to reach out to me offer a discount of a labor rate 65/hr compared to their regular 95/hr. After a complete lack of communication and ignoring me in the fullest for a month I no longer felt comfortable having them do the work on my truck and needed to have it running again quicker than they were willing to offer (by ignoring my issue for over a month). After [redacted] was able to look into the engine to only fix the broken part the engine turned out to be completely full of sludge and a complete engine loss (picture below). The sales manager Doug confirmed this could not be damaged or issues from me since I had the oil changes twice in 6 months and only owned the truck for six months at the time. This would make this issue present before my purchase of the truck. Manderbach completely ignored me for a month giving me no other choice than to seek help from another vendor. They need to take responsibility for the engine in the picture shown below which they sold inside of the truck they sold to me at fair market price when it was practically totaled.Regards,

I am rejecting...

this response because: we were sold a lemon and was told there was nothing wrong with it. I read that they had to put money into the van, but I to had to put money into fixing it when there was suppose to be nothing wrong with it. Therefore, as for them, or myself (if there was nothing wrong with the van that was sold to us), none of us should have had to put money toward a vehicle that was just bought, way before the warranty was up; the day after we bought it to be exact. There has been problems with the van since then. We had to take it for inspection and emissions in December and it failed 2 times. It finally passed, and now check engine light is on again so more money I am going to have to put into the van. I feel as though this whole thing is crazy and believed that we were dealing with honest people, after all, it's not a small, private owned car lot; it's  Manderbach [redacted]. As far as them trying to help me fix the van, service was never with a smile, or without an attitude, and the van was still under warranty.  From the beginning of all these problems, I just tried to get my money back and was told by [redacted] that they were going to fix it; it is still not fixed and I am still spending money fixing things that were never suppose to be wrong.

Review: My husband and I purchased a used [redacted] for $5,200.00 on 2/12/2013 and was lead to believe there was nothing wrong with it. The next day had to take the van back to the dealer, automatic doors stopped working properly, when you went over bumps sounds like something was loose and made a loud thumping noise and the transmission was slipping. Dropped van off for service 2/20/2013 to be fixed, the dealer had the van for a few days. Then 2 days later after we picked the van up from being serviced, the van would not start and it had to get towed back to the dealer and they said they did more work to it and replaced the transmission. That same week we noticed while driving that the gas tank showed 3 quarters filed and then about 5 minutes later the gas light came on and it continued to do this never allowing us to know how much gas we had. Also the check engine light came the day after they said it was serviced. Every time we addressed a problem to them about the van, "that supposedly had no problems" it was always a hassle and attitude from them when from the beginning we was just asking for our money back because we noticed all the problems with the van that was not suppose to be. They didn't want to give us our money back but kept saying they would fix it but van was never fixed like it was suppose to be. Then 8/8/2013 van breaks down at [redacted] were we had to get it towed to [redacted] at [redacted] come to find out it the fuel pump was shot and needed a new one that I had to pay $796.46 to get fixed. Then 2/12/2014 while driving the van looses power and starts making a loud noise and would not go in drive or reverse and let my husband stuck out of town. The van had to get towed to the garage due transmission problems. I contacted the dealer since they said it has a warranty and they said there is none and they refused to do anything. The whole experience with them has been a joke and now we are stuck with no van and another big service bill.Desired Settlement: From the beginning all we asked for was our money back. We want a refund.

Review: I BOUGHT A 2013 FORD FOCUS SE SEDAN ON 5/3/2013 FROM [redacted] AT MANDERBACH FORD FOR $20,780.00 BEFORE A $2,250.00 REBATE ASSIGNED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER MSRP FOR THAT CAR WAS 20,585.00 BEFORE REBATE. THE DEALER INVOICE WAS $19,187. WE TOLD [redacted], SALES MANAGER, IN HIS OFFICE THAT WE WOULD NOT PAY MSRP FOR THAT CAR OR WE WOULD GO TO ANOTHER FORD DEALER. WE AGREED TO A PRICE WHICH WAS A LITTLE BIT LESS THAN THE MSRP PRICE OF $20,585.00. [redacted] THEN

WALKED US OVER TO THE FINANCE MANAGER'S OFFICE SO I COULD SIGN ALL PAPERWORK. I TRUSTED [redacted] TO TURN OVER THE AGREED UPON PRICE TO HIM TO FINALIZE THE SALE, SO I DIDN'T LOOK AT THE BILL OF SALE BEFORE I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP. I TOOK A LOOK AT THE PAPERWORK OVER THE WEEK END TO SEE THEY SWICHED THE SALES PRICE TO $20,780.00 BEFORE REBATE. WHEN WE CALLED [redacted] ON MONDAY MORNING 5/6/2013, HE WOULD NOT TALK ABOUT WHAT HE DID OR THE BILL OF SALE AT ALL. THERE IS ALSO A CHARGE OF $136.00 LISTED AS OTHER FEES, WHICH WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE. WE ALSO QUESTION THE FORD MEMORIAL DAY SALES EVENT AD THEY PLACED IN THE SUNDAY READING EAGLE ON 5/5/2013. THAT AD STATES IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, THAT "YOU BUY FOR INVOICE PLUS YOU GET THE FORD FACTORY REBATE". THAT AD ALSO STATES THAT YOU GETDesired Settlement: A "24 MOS./24,000 MILES SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF A NEW CAR OR TRUCK"

I WOULD LIKE MANDERBACH FORD AND/OR FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO HONOR THE AGREED UPON PRICE AND ALL THE TERMS OF THEIR AD PLACED IN THE READING EAGLE ON SUNDAY 5/5/2013. THE AD STATES YOU BUY FOR DEALER INVOICE, NOT DEALER MSRP PLUS YOU GET THE REBATE OF $2250.00. DEALER INVOICE WAS $19,187.00 BEFORE REBATE. I WANT THE DEALER TO HONOR THE 24 MOS./24,000 MILES SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AS STATED IN THAT AD AS WELL.
