I bough a car from [redacted] and he said he did a lot of work to it and it runs great. I have already fixed over [redacted] worth of problems and almost crashe[redacted] sold me a 97 [redacted] for [redacted] and said he did a lot of work to it and it runs great. The nextt day it didn't start. I didn't get to register it until 3 weeks after because money was tight, but I had to buy a new battery, a new tire, and it shut down on me on the mass pike with my newborn daughter and oil was pouring everywhere and it was thumping and just shut off. I didn't realize it but on the bill of sale he wrote I only paid [redacted] and he wouldn't fix the car. I paid cash and have withdrawals equalling over [redacted] at the time of sale. Ive already put over [redacted] into it this week because he won't fix it. He said it was my problem. Everything he said he did to the car was a lie, everything was rotted and falling apart. Me and my daughter almost crashed due to the car shutting off in rush hour. There is no catalytic converter in the car either.Desired SettlementI would like to be paid back for all the work I have had done to make it drivable and safe as I couldn't drive it. I have saved all receipts and have mechanics willing to testify in this matter. Would also like the correct amount I paid on the title. Business Response I [redacted],from George's Foreign & Domestic, sold a car to [redacted] on [redacted] came to my place with her boyfriend to take the car for a test drive. She came back and she told me she likes it and she wants to buy it, so she did. On[redacted] she called and complained that the car was stuck on the road. I told her to bring me the car and I will look at it and if it needs to be repaired, I would fix it. She never did. On [redacted] supposively being her mechanic, comes at my place and asks me for [redacted] to fix the car at his house. Before handing him the money I called [redacted] myself and she agreed to for the amount of money being [redacted] her mechanic wanted. Since they insisted of wanting the money to be no other way but cash, I made [redacted] sign a agreement notice that he was recieving the [redacted] to fix the car. She never brought me the car when she was having problems or receipts for parts or labor as she said, so I believe I am not responsible.
