Complaint2 pair of shoes dropped off for minor repairs and are ruined BothDropped 2 pair of shoes for repair 1 pair for now heel caps leather gladiator 1 for discoloration of fabric repair Brown leather gladiator he broke heel in half and glued it and never disclosed it when my sister picked up until phone conversation Color running on other shoe both shoes are ruinedDesired SettlementShoes are not fixable[redacted]Business Response Sometime between [redacted] and [redacted] 2014, Mrs. [redacted] brought two pairs of shoes to be fixed. 1) The brown leather Gladiator to fix heel cap. 2) The tan beige color to bring the color back that was totally ruined by Mrs. [redacted] by applying pink tipex to the shoes.However, the discussion on the ruined shoes made me forget to take proper look at the brown leather gladiator shoes until it was time for me to fix the heel cap. The heel was partially cracked. When I was about to take the spikes out from the heel bottom which was well out to the heel, then the heel broke. I used glue to glue it together. I would have to explain it to her, but she did not appear in person....instead she sent her sister to collect the shoes, which I suspected that she did not collect the shoes because she knew the cracked on the shoes that's why she sent her instead. I don't think it was appropriate of her to tell her sister, that is what I told her during a telephone conversation. Mrs. [redacted] was very angry t me and told me that the shoes cost her [redacted] and I should pay her [redacted] I told her to come for the money that she paid to fix the shoes, but she declined and said she would take me to court. After some days, I received a letter from you (Revdex.com) on [redacted] 2014 and it was stated that I should reply before [redacted] 2014. I have no grudges against Mrs. [redacted], for customer satisfaction is our business. Furthermore, I must explain that the shoes were very old to be paid [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)MY SISTER DID PICK UP MY SHOES BECAUSE SHE WAS IN THE AREA WHEN HE CALLED AND LEFT ME A MESSAGE FOR ME THAT THEY WHERE ALL SET, NO INFO OF MISHAP WITH HEEL SO WHY WOULD I NOT HAVE MY SISTER GRAB THEM I WAS EXCITED TO GET MY SHOES BACK .THIS WAS AFTER 2 WEEKS THAT WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE 4 DAYS/ I ASSUME THATS WHY IT TOOK SO LONG HE WAS TRYING TO CONSEAL HIS MISTAKE OF BREAKING MY HEAL IN HALF WHEN TRYING TO FIX THE CAP ON HEAL.I ASK WHY WOULD I TRY TO FIX A CAP ON A SHOE IF THE HEEL IS CRACKED CAN NOT PUT WEIGHT ON IT A EXSTEME HAZZARD NOT A GOOD IDEA .I HAVE DONE SOME BUSINESS IN THE PAST WITH [redacted] AND HE HAS ALWAYS MADE ME HAPPY WITH HIS WORK .I FEEL THIS TIME WITH HOW 4 DAYS TURNED INTO WEEKS HE MADE A MISTAKE AND DID NOT WANT TO OWN IT.I FEEL [redacted] COULD HAVE CALLED ME AND EXPLAINED SOMETHING HAPPENED AT ANY TIME THE HEEL BROKE, IN HALF SHOULD HE CONTINUE WITH THE WORK NOT GLUE A HEAL THAT CAN NEVER BE WORN IN HOPES I WOULD NOT NOTICE.NOT TO TELL MY SISTER BULLCRAP OR GIVE A HEADS UP WHEN CALLED TO SAY WORK DONE EITHER WAY THIS IS WRONG.WHEN I CALLED TO ASK HIM WHAT HAPPENED HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING AT FIRST THEN WHEN I SAID SOMETHING HE SAID OH WHEN I PUT THEM IN VISE THEY MUST HAVE BEEN CRACKED AND WHEN I PUT CAP ON IT BROKE SO I FIXED IT LIKE HE DID ME A FAVOR .THEY WERE NOT CRACKED WHEN I DROPPED THEM OFF OR I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THE CAP REPLACED I WOULD HAVE TALKED TO THE MANAFACTUR ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE SHOE .THESE SHOES WERE PURCHASED THIS SUMMER AT MACY AT THE PRICE OF $100 ON SALE FROM [redacted] LEATHER GLADIATORS. BOTTOM LINE YOU DONT RUIN SOMEONES SHOES [redacted]NOT TELL THEM** CHARGE THEM FULLPRICE AND SMILE IN THERE FACE.POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE.IF [redacted] WOULD HAVE BEEN HONEST CALLED ME AND SAID THE HEEL IS BROKE IN TWO PIECES IM SORRY I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT I MADE A MISTAKE OR EVEN CALLED AND SAID SOMETHING ANYTHING ,I WOULD HAVE BEEN SATISFIED BUT I FEEL BY HIM NOT CALLING ME ABOUT SOMETHING SO MAJOR IN A HIGH HEEL SHOE THAT WOULD BE A HAZZARD TO WEAR IF WHERE BROKE IN HALF! ALSO EVEN WHEN I CALLED HIM TO SEE IF THEY WERE DONE HE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE HEEL.CONSIDERING THEY TOOK TWICE AS LONG.I NO LONGER TRUST GEORGES SHOE REPAIR. LESSON LEARNED Final Business Response I am [redacted]'s helper who called on Mrs [redacted] for so many times before she reply my called.I introduce myself to her I am [redacted]'s helper, as soon as I started to duel on both statement she don't gave me the chance to complete but start saying you want to argue with me I am done she hang the phone on me.The fact of the matter is I don't want to take site with [redacted] neither her but want to accommodate her how to solve the the problem. she lack patient to listen to me to finish but hang phone on me.After that I called her back no answer but I left a message for her that I am not taking [redacted] site neither you but I want to bring understanding how to pay or refund to her shoes. I even want to appologise to her, because of the statement she wrote to the narrative that I done some business in the passed [redacted] and he has always made me happy with his work.That a lone is enough, but business and customer are bound to have miss understand as teeth and tongue , nut non the less they live together.so on that note I would like Revdex.com to bring peace between the two if she still agreed to the claim of [redacted] she told [redacted], the I am willing to pay to her on money order through Revdex.com. .Yours faithfully[redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] helper did call my cellphone 4 times left a message to call him about this issue.I did call him he was nice at first then HE STATED I need to take care of this , so you can stop talking about us on the better business site. Listen to me, HE STATED, Getting louder and sounding annoyed so I did hang up the phone since he was scolding me not apologizing about the matter at hand OR GETTING TO RESOLVING THE ISSUE. He then called right back and left a message he was sorry and he wanted to resolve the issue sounding understanding and that [redacted] was wrong and he would make it right but since I did not feel comfortable talking with this gentleman since I could not get a word in. I did not return the call again. I am not sure what is going on with georges shoe repair they have been in the [redacted] for a long time and as I said I have always been satisfied with my prior repairs prompt and friendly service.SMALL BUSINESS WORK ON WORD OF MOUTH .SO BE CAREFUL HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS.I would resolve this matter for a total of[redacted] for shoes- [redacted] for the work of fixing shoes that he broke. ruined not necessary.TO MOVE FORWARD.
