At this time, I have not been contacted by GHG Construction/Country Road Home Improvements regarding complaint ID ***
*** *** ***, The owner of GHG Construction is the sole individual responsible for this matter and has a
tremendous criminal/civil case history as is available to see on the Maryland judiciary search website. He has a history of owing individuals money and not paying them as well as a violent history. I would advise anyone thinking of hiring this individual to beware as he is on parole until november 2014....after that he may become violent again. I see no ends to my situation except that I must accept the fact that I am out the thousands of dollars I put into this situation. He is not going to pay me back and if I were to take him to court I would never see my money, the same as the other individuals that are awaiting their settlements to be paid (found on maryland judiciary search)....I would advise all individuals inquiring about this company or any company that is dealing with this individual to stay clear and do a follow up of individuals on maryland judiciary case search website.....you can look up individuals as well as business names for cases that have been filed in the past. Review: We hired a contractor to do various jobs at our residence. We gave him half the money ($1625) for labor and supplies and were to give him the rest when he finished. he deposited our money into a personal account and used the money for personal use and told us that if we bought our own supplies he could get started. THis is after he gave us the run around for 10 days about our check not clearing when the money came out of our account the very next day. We purchased 700 more in materials and he botched the job on our tile work in the bathroom and did not finish various other jobs we have around the house. We hired him on the 16th and had a deadline in our contract of the 28th of january. He overshot it and we fired him yesterday the 2nd of feb. We have texts admitting he took our money and bought a fuel pump for his truck and used it to move out of his house among other inciminating details. He only showed up 4 times in the time we had a contract. We are going to have to get most of the job redone which is going to cost us roughly the same amount we already spent. He tried getting more money out of us (in text messages) for gas money and to purchase a tub surround (after we already gave him $1625. Please help! I would like a refund of all money and materials totaling roughly $2650.Desired Settlement: I am prepared to take him to court and would like the money I put up from him plus the materials cost that he ruined totaling $2300.00 as well as a repair for mold remediation which was never checked by a reputable mold company. He scammed us. We paid $350 in cash and have a contract for that as well. $2650.00 is our amount we put in to this job.
