Giorgeo's Fine Jewelry Reviews (5)

Review: I went to Giorgeo's on October 31st in order to inquire about the cost of having my engagement ring enhanced. My fiancé and I wanted to add sapphires and diamonds to the ring and as we have done business with Giorgeo's several times throughout the years, we trusted them to get the job done well.

On November 1st, I contacted Giorgeo's and requested my ring back as I had an engagement which required me to wear my ring. As they hadn't touched my ring yet, I assumed that it wouldn't be a problem. After several back and forths, [redacted], one of the Managers, agreed and invited me to pick-up my ring on Saturday, November 2nd.

When I arrived at the store, a lady representative expected me and gave me my ring back. I requested to get my $350 deposit back (50% of the initial quote) but she refused, stating that the Managers were the only ones who were able to issue a refund. She also highlighted that they didn't have enough cash. I therefore requested a copy of my receipt and mentioned that I would come back to see the owner.

Since then, I went to the store 5 times and the Manager, [redacted], has been no where to be found. I went back to the Mall this evening and found out that the store has now closed their doors, without giving me my $350 back. I want a refund for a job which hasn't been performed.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $350

Review: On July 16, 2012 I paid $2,100 to this merchant for diamond earrings that were misrepresented by the merchant's own appraisal to be 2.09 ct, VS Clarity and F/G color, with an appraisal value of $7,400. When I requested a certificate for the diamonds, the merchant provided me certificate from Gemologic that states the diamonds are 2.29 ct, VS Clarity and G/H color, with a replacement value of $9,800.

Since the two documents from this merchant didn't agree, I received two independent appraisals. The first appraisal indicated a weight of 1.12 ct, I1 Clarity and H/I color, with a replacement value of $1,950 . The second appraisal indicated a weight of 1.04 ct, I2 Clarity and I color, with a replacement value of $2,250. Since both appraisals were much lower in size, color, quality and price than what was represented by Giorgeos, I wanted to return the merchandise for a refund.

I tried to get a refund from the merchant ([redacted]) but was told their policy is no refunds. In March 2013 I paid $100 for the services of the [redacted]) to mediate this dispute. [redacted] has copied me on several emails in which [redacted] promises to issue me a refund, but I still have not received a refund.

I can provide a copy of all documents/appraisals/emails upon request.Desired Settlement: I am requesting your help to resolve this issue and get the refund I have been promised by Giorgeo's. Thank you in advance for your help.

Review: I bought my two wedding bands and engagement ring from them and I wanted them to send me my appraisal information for my wedding bands. I am unable to contact them and from the many calls I have made I have been told they are out of business and are being charged for illegal activity. It is their legal obligation to be held accountable for any false/fraudulent information given to me. I feel like this is an incomplete sale and I would like an accurate appraisal for my engagement ring an an appraisal for my wedding bands so I can get them insured.Desired Settlement: I would like my appraisal paperwork for my wedding bands and a second opinion on my appraisal of my engagement ring and wedding bands.

Review: they have my wedding engagement ring witch there replacing a fallen diamond for the second time this year and the mall office said they closed just yesterday nov 18 witch is shocking I still have my recDesired Settlement: I would like my ring

Review: On Sept 24, 2013, I entered the store to sell some gold pieces.

The merchant, his name was [redacted], took my piece, and offered me a fair price

of $600. I went to provide proper documentation for the gold sale with my license, and he told me that he

gives an instant refund through the bank.

He asked for my ATM card, he swiped a refund for $600, yet, it is now over a month, and

I have not received the refund.

I have called and visited the location, and he continues to come up with excused of why my money has not been

refunded.

I called my bank and they old me this is not an acceptable method of

payment. It is not logged in their system and he did not ever process this refund.

His promotions say cash for gold. He told me the refund would be immediate.

Then after my 6 trips to the store, he asked me to wait another day, it's not on his side it's the banks and

I am concerned that I sold these family pieces to pay my student loan which I have not defaulted on this month.

I am not sure where to turn but, I want the good returned or the money promised.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is my $600. It is appalling that someone would lie and cheat a person trying to make ends meet.

I feel this may have to be followed up with police and I am not sure how to proceed.

I appreciate any/all help possible.
