To Whom It May Concern: In the beginning of July 2015 Mr. [redacted] brought his 1999 [redacted] to Friesen's Auto Center with a complaint that it was overheating. We diagnosed the vehicle as needing a new engine due to the engine having suffered extreme heat and thermal breakdown. Mr. [redacted]...
disagreed and said that he had experience as a mechanic and he wanted to try a cheaper way to fix it. Finally with much disagreement and hesitation Mr. [redacted] asked us to put on new cylinder heads. We replaced the cylinder heads as well as head gaskets and various other parts. He was advised per his invoice which he signed that this vehicle needed a new engine which he did not want to do. Attached is a copy of the original invoice explaining the situation. Finally, all of the parts were new and a nationwide 36 month/36,000 mile warranty was put on the labor/parts involving the said vehicle. If Mr. [redacted] is unhappy with any of the parts or labor he can take it to a local Tech-Net shop to take advantage of the warranty. In addition, we personally delivered the vehicle to Mr. [redacted]e's residence, we did a complementary oil/filter change, and we replaced his air filter at no charge. Upon delivery, Mr. [redacted] seemed to be happy with the said work after he had his daughter test drive the vehicle. He signed the invoice releasing his vehicle back to him.
