Great American Roofing & Restoration Reviews (2)

We originally contracted with Mr*** on 4/25/2017. It has only been months from the very first point of contact, and not months, which the homeowner seems to have indicated in the complaint. The scope of work included hail damaged items on their home, determined and paid for by
their homeowner's insurance carrier. The scope of work included a complete roof replacement, some interior work, replacement of pieces of siding only, and a partial gutter replacement. The roofing portion accounts for over 90% of the cost totality and was completed within the first week from the date of them signing the contract. As it turns out, the interior work was undervalued and a request for additional funds to be released to cover the cost of the repairs to their interior, was sent to the insurance company in order to avoid the homeowner being responsible for the difference in cost incurred. The insurance company agreed after much documentation and negotiation, to pay for the incremental interior cost. At that point, the interior work was immediately put on the schedule and was completed on 6/20/17. As far as the siding and guttering is concerned, due to the approved repairs being only partial repairs, and the existing material's age and condition, this meant that the existing siding needed to be sent off and matched. None of the area suppliers currently offered anything close to what was needed for Mrand Mrs***. We wanted to avoid what is known as a , "Gross Mismatch,' which I am sure any homeowner would like to avoid. In order to do so, a sample of the siding must be removed from the damaged area of the home and sent to the company ITEL, which is the most highly recognized materials matching company in the US. We removed a sample of the siding and sent it for assessment, which can take a few weeks to get back. IN this case, we received The ITEL Report back on 7/21/17. It stated that there is not an exact match, only a somewhat, "close match." In summary, the homeowner's complaint is factually inaccurate and untruthful. We started the work months ago, not 5. We have been in complete communication with them throughout the process and in fact, a week prior to that complaint being submitted, ***, our Sales Manager, had a lengthy phone conversation with Mrs***, going over all the details so far, where we were at in the process and what was next. At the conclusion of their conversation, the homeowner, Mrs***, was on the same page, and all was well. Shortly thereafer this discussion with Mrs***, Mr*** had called our office and was less than cordial to our office staff, to say the least. His tone was abusive and unreasonable. Per the homeowner's request on 7/24, we stopped the process. At this point, due to his abusive tone and tender to virtually all of our employees on the part of Mr***, we are happy to stop the work at this point and refund roughly over $in overpayment. The rest of his money will come to him from the insurance company, once we send the final invoice for the work that was completed so far to date. Thank you
