I received my water bill that was due for November 11/10/2016 in the amount of 180.84. I have lived at my home for 15 years and my bill has never been this high. I went to the water company and they advised they had a contractor that was suppose to be reading the meters but were not and they were just billing at a flat rate. However, my account was still drafted for those months. It is my understanding that you should not be billed if your meter is not being read. I have gone in person to try and have this issue resolved. Both times have not been successful. Is it odd that I was not the only one in there complaining with the same issue? I have two small children and I cant afford to have my water turned off nor can I afford these outrageous fees. Please advise what is the next step I should take.
