Subject: case # [redacted] Dear Customer Relations Advocate, This business has been servicing this area for over yearsI have worked it for of those years and have been the ownwer for the last yearsIf you look at your files you will notice there has never been a complaint against this establishment With that said, this particular customer was way out of lineAll work was done in a timely fashion and done properlyThere are two repairs to consider The first was replacing the pin on a buckleThe pin is what goes through the hole when you buckle up the strapShe claims I ruined her shoe because she wanted a longer pinShe never requested such a thing but I guess that doesn't matterI explained you do not extend a buckle pin beyond the cross bar of the buckle because it would catch on everythingI don't know if she heard me because she was screaming at the top of her lungs The other item was a new zipper in a bootThe zipper, which I showed her before the repair was made, was the same color, black tape with brass teethIt was the same size teeth as the other bootI know this because I was able to use her same slider pull on the new zipper so it had to be the same sizeI did this because the slider pull was unique to this pair of bootsNow we have both boots looking the same with the same slider pull, same teeth, and same color tape I found it very interesting and disturbing that she started screaming again that I ruined her boots when she only had it half way out of the bagThere was no reasoning with herShe just kept screaming at the top of her lungsAt this time another customer walked inShe immediately shoved the boot no further than inches from this ladies face screaming at her that I ruined her bootI told her she was being very abusive and she would have to leave immediately or I would call the police to have her removedWith that she ran outside with cell phone in handShe called the police to report a bad jobI'm sure they were thrilled After this insane experience I have concluded the followingthe service was performed properly The items have been removed from the premises and are in her possessionThis constitutes acceptanceI have no way of knowing what she might do to alter the repair in a negative way once it's out my store Based on those facts there will be no compensation and I will not service this person in the futureA parting of ways is the only solutionI will have no further comment on this matter Larry Grove Shoe Repair & Orthopedic Lab

Subject: case #[redacted]   Dear Customer Relations Advocate, This business has been servicing this area for over 52 years. I have worked it for 47 of those 52 years and have been the ownwer for the last 32 years. If you look at your files you will notice there has never been a complaint against...

this establishment.   With that said, this particular customer was way out of line. All work was done in a timely fashion and done properly. There are two repairs to consider.   The first was replacing the pin on a buckle. The pin is what goes through the hole when you buckle up the strap. She claims I ruined her shoe because she wanted a longer pin. She never requested such a thing but I guess that doesn't matter. I explained you do not extend a buckle pin beyond the cross bar of the buckle because it would catch on everything. I don't know if she heard me because she was screaming at the top of her lungs.   The other item was a new zipper in a boot. The zipper, which I showed her before the repair was made, was the same color, black tape with brass teeth. It was the same size teeth as the other boot. I know this because I was able to use her same slider pull on the new zipper so it had to be the same size. I did this because the slider pull was unique to this pair of boots. Now we have both boots looking the same with the same slider pull, same teeth, and same color tape.   I found it very interesting and disturbing that she started screaming again that I ruined her boots when she only had it half way out of the bag. There was no reasoning with her. She just kept screaming at the top of her lungs. At this time another customer walked in. She immediately shoved the boot no further than 2 inches from this ladies face screaming at her that I ruined her boot. I told her she was being very abusive and she would have to leave immediately or I would call the police to have her removed. With that she ran outside with cell phone in hand. She called the police to report a bad job. I'm sure they were thrilled.   After this insane experience I have concluded the following. 1. the service was performed properly 2. The items have been removed from the premises and are in her possession. This constitutes acceptance. I have no way of knowing what she might do to alter the repair in a negative way once it's out my store.   Based on those facts there will be no compensation and I will not service this person in the future. A parting of ways is the only solution. I will have no further comment on this matter.   Larry Grove Shoe Repair & Orthopedic Lab

Complaint #[redacted] Inaccurate information in Jessica [redacted]"s email to the Revdex.com.1.) cost was $30 not $602.) The single tear, as she claims, was a 1/2" by 1 1/2" wide dog chewed mess on the back of one shoe with some suede missing.3.) Jessica [redacted] did not come in to pick up the shoes with her...

momther, as she claims, just her mother did as Jessica is in California. On Monday April 9th Jessica [redacted]'s mother picked up her order. As is customary, I open all order packages and have the customer inspect the shoes. This is to resolve any issues before the customer leaves our shop. The mother inspected the shoes and seemed satisfied. I repackaged the shoes and wished her a good day. Two hours later she came in quite mad. She stated she sent Jessica a cell phone picture of the shoes along with another pair we repaired. Jessica said the shoes are dirty and we did the dirty deed. The shoes were fine and I stated that fact and that a cell phone picture is deceiving. I was yelled at that her daughter says they are dirty. I turned to get a suede brush from my bench. When I did I was yelled at that I better not turn my back on her and walk away. I told her she needs to calm herself as she has been screaming at me since she came in. I brushed the shoes and they looked great. The mother looked them over and pointed out two spots where the suede wasn't up. I explained to her that's from the dogs saliva. it is acidic and burns the nap down. I can't do anything about that. On smooth leather saliva makes it hard as a rock. She still blamed me and left yelling she will never come back to my shop. Just as she walked out the door jessica called. I told her I brushed the shoes and they look great. She said he mom said no and she will take her mother's word over mine. I asked her to reserve judgment until she sees the shoes in person. She wasn't having any of it. I mentioned her mother was little over the top in here and maybe she should wait to see the shoes herself. With that said, jessica started yelling at me to not say anything against her mother. I had enough abuse for one day so I said again look at the shoes and hung up. She called back screaming some more so  I hung up again. Now her boyfriend calls and ends up threatening me with lawyers. I hung up on him. Two days later he calls me back and apoligizes. He explained that he and jessica are in California for two months and won't see the shoes until they get back. Can she come in and discuss them if she has an issue? I said yes but she has gone on all the social media review sites and put inaccurate information and a blistering assualt on my integrity. I said all those have to come down or I will not deal with her. As of today, they are still up and I am looking into my legal rights in regard to the false info and slanderous reviews. that's where we are at at this point. Very bizzare! They still haven't seen the shoes!
