Review: Three years ago this company installed new springs on my garage door. Recently, the electric garage door opener stopped working, and I had to disable the electric opener and make the garage door manual. The garage door would not close all the way (keeps popping open half-way). I had another garage door company come out to install a new opener (because I assumed that was the problem). However, this new company said that the reason the garage door opener is broken is because the springs on the garage are the wrong size and this is also the reason the garage door fails to close. I was told by the new company that replacing the garage door opener would not help unless the springs were also replaced. I called Guaranteed Door Service and asked that they come out and inspect the springs to see if they did in fact install the wrong size. I said that I did not, however, think I should have to pay the service call charge for them to inspect their work. I was told by [redacted] that they wouldn't charge me the service fee if their service technician found the wrong springs installed, but if their technician found them to be the correct springs, I would be charged the service call fee. [redacted] said that she spoke with the owner about this and offered to come out and look at the springs and install the new garage opener motor that the new company helped me get free of charge - because it was under lifetime warranty . I told her that I did not want them making any repairs except to replace the springs. She then said that she could not help me.Desired Settlement: I want them to inspect the springs free of charge.

I want them to replace the springs if they are the wrong size free of charge or if I have already replaced them (I am supposed to get everything fixed next week) I want them to refund the cost of the old springs.
