The process is dreadfulYou have to call in tell them why you need servicesI was waiting to speak to a rep for minutes then the call disconnected, I waited for a call back never got one called back again and waiting for another minutesYou then have to go online submit photo's then process the service request by printing and mailing in the formThe company needs to get with todays times where everything is done onlineWho even mails in forms anymore its 2015! I bought two cream colored couches and purchased the warranty for yearsI thought it was a great idea because at the time I had a year old and a year old I almost feel like hiring a company to come out and clean up simple stains such as food and beverage or drool from a years oldAnytime I call in its a hassleHonestly I wouldn't have paid extra if I knew this would be the process

I purchased several expensive pieces of leather power recliner soda + chair from [redacted] Furniture in [redacted] My invoice sho9wed $for Gold Plan insservice agreement g5rf ; a five yrpolicythe date was 1/31/The recliner middle section colapsed and a claim was filed to fix or exchange itA service tech was sent and inspected same and his report was sent in to GuardsmanAfter several calls to them, on Feb2, 2017, I was finnally informed that the fault discovered was not covered by their policyI did not ever receive any Policy when the purchase was madeI was just told that it covered everything for yearsThis company has earned the negative rating of 92%, but it should be 99.9% and should not be allowed to offer any kind of warranty policy and definitely should not be accredited by the Revdex.com

I bought the Guardsman plan so I wouldn't have to worry about breakage with my furnitureWhen I had something break I was denied repairs based on a technicalityThey were inflexible when I explained the reasonsThey got my money and I got nothingI would not recommend anyone do business with this companyThey will use any detail to get out of doing what you've paid them to do

They were very good and easy to deal with in regards to a damaged love-seatAfter taking a picture and mailing off the form I received good communication from them regarding my claim and replacement love-seatMy claim definitely went smooth with them, no complaints at all

Worst company I have ever delt with Process took forever between filling out forms and mailing them back (mail was the ONLY option) Then waiting for a service tech appointmentTook about two months when finally a got a tech in They took pictures & left..no explaination of what happens next Finally a called them back and they said my claim was denied I had a year plan, sofa was years old and it had a rip They said "Na" it's only wear and your not covered Apparently they will say anything to deny a legitimate claim I was better off keeping my $ Its a scam

I purchased mattress and mattress pads from my local furniture store I was told the mattress pads have a year warranty In trying to make a claim on the mattress pads only Guardsman's says that the for the mattress pads to be warranted I have to have purchased the mattress at the same time, at the same store

The warranty is not worth your moneyFirst off they didn't even honor their warrantyIt states clearly on my paper that it covers seam separation, well apparently not since they denied my claimSecondly, you have a very limited time to cancel your protection planYou have more time to cancel GAP insurance on a car than you do to cancel a protection plan on furniture! Don't buy this protection plan it truly isn't worth it

My experience with Guardsman is horrendous I purchased what was supposed to be a year Warranty on furniture I bought from [redacted] ' Fine Furniture in [redacted] , [redacted] That warranty , that I paid over $for ,as it turns out , is not worth the paper it was written on ! After having completed a very laborious , tedious claim process ,I was irate with the lame phony excuses I was given as reasons that Guardian is denying my claim This outfit is attempting to scam me of my hard earned money ,comes up with excuse after excuse ,is very difficult to get a hold of , delay,s in returning my calls , and was very rude to me on the phone ,going as far as to cut me off while I was speaking ,followed by intentionally disconnect my call Despite my having a "year Elite Warranty Plan I have experienced nothing but outrageous refusal on the part of Guardsman to honor the "Warranty " they sold me Their business practices ,in my opinion, are nothing short of criminal behavior I am currently on a long list of angry unsuspecting consumers who have been ripped off I my opinion ,Guardsman is a very shady, deceptive,cagey organization that preys on trusting consumers The Warranty I bought from Guardsman was supposed to enable me to get my furniture repaired should it get damaged by accident Guardsman took my money then denied my claim I will never, ever purchase any so called "warranty" from Guardsman ever again I can only hope the Revdex.com will look into their business practices and ,if they can " SHUT GUARDSMAN DOWN permanently Stay as far away from Guardsman as possible !!!

I tried to file a claim with this company twice but was unsuccessful because the damages on my furniture were not coveredIi think they are very narrow minded when it comes to their protection planI will NEVER buy a protection plan with this company again

I first called Guardsman when I got a food stain on my SofaThey sent someone to clean but months later the stain returned to the surfaceAt this point it had been day since service and a claim to come out and recline was deniedThen my year threw up on SofaThey sent someone to clean stain yesterday but it still smellsWhen I called Guardsman they said they do not cover smellIf you ask me they don't cover ANYTHINGthey put a band aid on the problem instead of solving it! Don't waste your money

poor customer serviceApparently there is a very limited time limit in which you can submit claim after you see the stainIn all my correspondence in submitting a claim they never mentioned to me the need to submit within a few daysVery misleading and unprofessional Would never recommend this plan to anyoneAlso never received written plan from retailer or plan ID number

The customer service with this company is poorThe employees are derogatory and not able to address issues with their provided serviceThis company looks for every opportunity to weasel out of fulfilling any claims of accidental damage to furniture they coverThey have fulfilled out of requests I have made in the past year and now state that I need to pay a company to professionally clean my furniture in order to continue to receive their services that I paid forThis is not mentioned anywhere in my contract information

I had a different experience with Guardsman and figured since there are so many negative reviews to at least tell of my positive experience. My wife splattered nail polish on our leather couch and covered a good portion of the front and one cushion. Wasn't sure if the Guardsman warranty covered it and after reading all these horror stories I wasn't confident it would be an easy feat. But figured I'd give it a shot. I contacted Guardsman over the phone and for whatever reason they could not open a claim over the phone and sent me the form to fill out. The customer service rep could have been more friendly but whatever. She just didn't seem interested in helping me. I submitted my paperwork and photos within the 10 days required (and yes they put a limit on this I'm sure to limit the claims they have to pay out). The 10 day period I don't agree with since as long as it is within the warranty period, who cares when the claim is submitted. In any event, claim was submitted, I received an email a few days later saying they were sending a repairman to our house to look at the damage. He came a few days later, confirmed the damage and parts needed. We heard back from Guardsman about a week later that the repair was approved and parts had been ordered. We receved them about 2 weeks later and the repairman came out about a week after that and boom, looks like new. All in all it took about 8 weeks from start to finish which is longer than I would have liked but based on the other experiences and reviews listed, I couldn't be happier. I was prepared for a disaster and a nightmarish experience but came out very pleased.

BEWARE: Read your plan! I have some surface scratches on my coffee table which were unknowingly made by my cleaning lady Because the scratches were made by someone I hired Guardsman will not fix it! Make sure you understand what your plan covers before you send in a request Guardsman, you stink!

Extremely disappointing service as customer service agent sent an email within minutes of reporting that we are ineligible for the claim even without having a look on my sofa which I bought from *** in ***
Its very unprofessional company and customers service agents are very uncourteous programmed to say no to the claims

I have purchased the Guardsman last year for $300, I had submitted a claim on their website for some nail polish that was on a dresser and put the stain as unkown as the employee from *** said to do, my claim was denied, I had called and spoken with different employees that most of them were rude and would transfer me to the escalation department without even telling me where they are transfering me toThis morning someone called me from the escalation department while I was at work and left me a massage that said that my claim was denied, she did not leave her name or a phone number to call backI called the customer service number and spoke to a customer service manager who was also rude and said that my claim was denied, I asked to speak to her manager and she said that she doesn't have a manager! so I asked her if she was the CEO of the company, she said no and then transfered me to some where that no one answeredwhat a nightmare, unedecated and unhelpful employeesI am writing a letter to the CEO, hopefully he has some common since, I would never purchase this coverage again and won't recommend it to anyone

I wanted to leave a product review on the Guardsman website and let everyone know what scam artists this company is, but apparently they no longer accept product reviewsProbably too many people complaining
I know why Guardsman wants correspondence by snail mailIt's so there is no electronic copy of what the customer submittedIt also puts a day window around documenting everything, finding your original receipts, and 5-days off that for mail deliveryI am pretty meticulous and keep receipts and correspondence filed, so I had my documents in before the deadline and a copy for reference
The claim was over my year old taking an ink pen to the couchI found my policy that specifically says under "what is covered" that ink pen from a specific incident is coveredI took lots of pictures, circled all affected areas, noted all areas on the forms and submitted after I made a copy for myselfThe tech came out and sprayed something on the couch and wiped it a little, and said he would have to submit a cleaning bid back to Guardsman before proceeding
I receive notice that my claim has been deniedSo I call in to customer service and they tell me the damage was not properly documented and photo'd, making the damage seem far less extensiveI said I have a copy of my submitted forms and photos in front of me, and asked what areas of damage did the tech note that is not noted on this submittalThey replied that all areas were the same, but the amount of damage was better explained by the techI replied back with thingsFirst, the tech is a furniture cleaning expert, you should expect his explanations and definitions to be betterSecond, there is no verbiage in the policy stating an amount or extent of damage permissible, only that a specific incident with ink pen was covered
Customer service put me on hold, came back on and said that the damage was not covered because it was considered "misuse" and sited section of the policyI questioned if there was misuse of an ink pen, which was noted in different areas of the couch in different pictures, all documented and filed on the proper forms, why did you send a tech instead of denying the claim directlyThey replied back that coverage is at Guardsman sole discretionI replied back that I believe they were changing their argument because they were called out on the fact that the incident should be coveredCustomer Service replied back again, coverage is at the sole discretion of GuardsmanThen added, if I felt that Guardsman didn't fulfill some legal obligation, feel free to read the arbitration disclaimer that says any lawsuits must be handled in Michigan, with no reimbursement for lawyer fees or travel expenses even if I did get a court ruling in favor
It just goes to show that Guardsman has no intention of repairing anything that can't be wiped up with warm water and a dishrag, and they're going to create many hoops for you to jump through and make the wait time as long and uncomfortable as possible before they even do thatThis is an absolute scam, no better than someone stealing credit card numbers and charging purchasesThat is illegal on a federal level, and this should be too

The time frame for making a claim is days is reasonable, but when you are moving and packing and unpacking things get a little crazyI didn't meet that time simply because I couldn't find the paperwork until most of my things were unpackedEverything I sent up was denied some of which the protection plan doesn't cover, but for the ones that it does cover it was voided because of the time frameI explained my situation to an "account manager" and she didn't care at allAll she cared about was terms and agreement she couldn't care less about my situationI've fought for my country and was willing to die it and for me come back start a life and get hit with terms and agreement shows me that this company doesn't care about its customers at all
