Review: This business enforces a "Mandatory" gratuity on any size party even parties of 1 and they calculate this mandatory gratuity based on the total bill plus tax. When confronted with this illegal mathematical error, they threatened to contact the police to which we were more than willing to review the issue, however recalculated the gratuity CORRECTLY and only paid that amount as we were in a rush to be elsewhere.I looked up reveiws online regarding this business and it appears this is a very common practice for these people are they are not only cheating their patrons, but the state as well.Desired Settlement: I would like #1 for them to legally incorporate and advertise that this mandatory gratuity is being employed and not enforced as a surprise.and #2 for these employees to take a math and/or tax class in order to accurately understand how to calculate a tip.Are mandatory tips even legal?
