Do not use this service. I tried to use them for cleaning while my apartment was on the market. First service was just ok. Second service, the provider cancelled 15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive and I had an open house the next day. There is zero point in a unreliable cleaning service. I'll be cleaning my own house now since they failed to show up. Even worse, all the customer service is via bots that do not answer or address your questions, there is no number to call, you have to pay them $99 to cancel your service (even if they are the ones that cannot fulfill the service). Then when you cancel, they sign you up without permission for their other services. Absolutely stay away form this service. Total scam. They have no control over the providers, but the do control your money, if you sign up with them you will lose your money when they cancel your services.

The handy maid service seemed like a great way to relieve stress while my significant other is deployed and I’m working ridiculous hours and barely keeping up, but it ended up being a lot more stress. On my first booking, the blinds on my front door were broken and left laying in the floor and my clothes were mildewed in the dryer and still wet. Among other annoying things. The second booking was canceled last minute and rescheduled on a day that didn’t work at all for me. They kept giving credits and saying they were sorry, but at the end of the day what I really wanted was reliability, not excuses, so I’ll be going with more reputable services from now on.

Very poor customer service. I hired a cleaning person and they complained directly to me about the money they were making from Handy and tried to get me to pay more. They did a terrible job on the clean and just did surfaces and left.

I tried to contact Handy customer service through phone and email and got one response but no follow up responses.

Do not use this app.

My cleaner arrived almost an hour and a half late, then proceeded to admit he had been drinking prior, and quite heavily. He caused a good bit of property damage (stovetop, pans) and didn’t finish the job. Floors were left as dirty as they were upon his arrival. The whole situation made me feel unsafe in my own home. Handy has not answered multiple emails about this issue, only offering 50% off a next cleaning service with them.

I used them because ***.com uses them but using them has turned into a nightmare. First I bought a chair off of ***.com and I paid to have them put it together. I also bought a desk and paid to have them put it together but this also turned into a nightmare because they merged both of my appointments together without informing me I emailed them about this and they tried to blame it on ***.com.which makes no sense because I have the email that says my desk won't be here until August 7th and that email was sent minutes after my order and I have explained this to them numerous times. I would avoid this company at all costs because it seems they are running a scam.

No one shows up. They repeatedly charge for no services. There is no way to cancel. This company is CRIMINAL!

This is a complete scam. I paid over $150 for a 4 hour move out clean and someone came by and essentially vacuumed my house and left. How has this company not been shut down! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!

Im am a independent contractor and was using the Handy platform as a referral service. I had used the service for about 10 months with few problems. On July *** I emailed their support to inquire about a job on my schedule that mysteriously went missing as well as a bonus I qualified for but never received. After submitting that inquiry I was blocked from using their service and given no explanation why . My issues were never addressed and it would appear I was blocked to hide deceptive practices used in their scheduling platform and to avoid payment of bonuses they advertise. They will most likely hide behind some "service agreement" as a way to avoid addressing any of the issues I have raised.

June R they took my money out of my account twice in June 2020 and no one showed up to clean and they did not refund all of my money they also took money in July and no show also

They did refund money for July 7 days later after I e mailed them numerous times also asked them to call me but no response also told them service is no longer required waiting to see if they access my account again called credit company

I wish I could leave "0" but its not an option Bought a gazebo through *** and paid for installation by Handy. Handy sent out 2 pros who did not know how to assemble the item, even with the instructions and dented the roof of the item in the process. Gazebo was supposed to be anchored on concrete and this was indicated to Handy in several emails. after the first 2 pros were unable to complete the installation over 3 days, Handy sent out another team of "pros" who assembled but did not anchor the gazebo advising that they were not told to do so. One of the "pros" was very rude and unprofessional. This company is a disgrace and I would not recommend nor hire them again for any service.

This company is a scam. I would give them negative stars if I could. I requested my TVs be mounted as I just moved in to a new house. I purchased the mounting equipment through Handy as well thinking it would be more convenient. The handyman came to install it but the equipment did not fit my TVs, even though I specifically identified the size in my request when I initially booked the service. Not only did they charge me for the service and equipment, but they refuse to process a refund stating that the handyman needs to be compensated. My TVs are still sitting on the floor and they refuse to call me to settle the matter. They charged me for service that never took place. I have been emailing them daily since they don't want to provide a number for me to call, and they want to give me a credit for 50% while they performed 0% of the service I requested. The only way to resolve this issue may be to take legal action.

Called, asked for a service to be completed, I had an appointment on May , I waited for 20 minutes for them to show up and nothing. They took the payment out on May***. I have repeatedly contacted them about this to no avail. I have been asking for a refund and they won’t even get back with me.

I cannot even rate this company because it should have negative rating. I have no idea how this company can still be in business. Shame on me for not going my homework first and reading these reviews. I have the same issues as others, cancelled services, no shows and NO customer service. You can get a person when you schedule, but nothing after that only emails.
Please never use this "company"!

Total scam!!!
I did a job through Handy and still have not been paid. I've added my checking account to get my pay and it forever says "pending." Absolutely no customer service at all!!
I imagine I'm not the only one and soon there will be a class action lawsuit.
Run far away from anything associated with Handy or home advisor, they are corrupt!!

Company issued me *** wrongful fee, After speaking with the company in regards to waiving this fee there was no resolve. Company responded back to me giving inaccurate details regarding the fee stating that I was negligent.

Terrible customer service. I have been cancelled for window cleaning and rescheduled 5 times with no regard for my schedule at all. There is no phone number to call. When you e-mail, you get automated responses. How are they still in business? It’s criminal!

If I could go into negative stars I would. So I bought a product from *** that I can do the install was just being lazy and not the easiest so went with the install service. Happens that *** install forwards me to this company. Initial call I get forwarded back to *** because my product is not marked as delivered even though its been at my house at least a week. So I call back after getting that fixed, this call before I even get an introduction I'm being told I can't get service on the phone with them I have to got to a website; with that I really still wouldn't of had an issue if Lee, Lilly (whatever her name is because I still doubt she gave me a real one) would of even pulled up my account. She would not transfer me to her supervisor I'm waiting on "my supervisor will call you back in approximately 30 minutes." I requested be put on hold until I could talk to her supervisor cause that was just rude service with no justification and lack of a company organization. I get off the phone with her and call back a 3rd time still trying to get my install appointment, they get my account pulled up and everything is in order but they can't schedule a date or time for installs making the service pointless with lack of care for their customers and a failure in every level to provide an actual service.

According to their policy, *** is supposed to refund money if booking is changed more than 2 hours before. I rescheduled the booking 20 hors before and they refused to give money back. They have issued a credit instead of giving me a refund.

I purchased a dining room table from Wayfair in early January, and hired Handy through Wayfair's site to assemble the table upon delivery. The assembly man who came did a terrible job, took 2 hours over his allotted timeframe, stripped all of the hardware (I had to have Wayfair send replacement hardware to re-assemble the product) and broke branches of my plants off that were in the room. I reached out to Handy the next day, and was told that they would be happy to refund me, and would mail a check that would arrive in 2-3 weeks. One month later, the check had not arrived. I reached out and got the same story, and was told to wait another 2-3 weeks. This has been ongoing since January, and I still have yet to receive my refund almost 4 months later. They only talk to costumers via email, so I am unable to talk to anyone in the company in person about this issue, and NO ONE can explain to me why my refund has not reached me yet. When I simply ask for tracking information on the mailed check, or further clarifications as to what the holdup is, I am simply told again and again to "wait at least one week and we will try to issue a new refund check". I am sick of getting jerked around by them and just want my refund check so I can be done dealing with them.

They called me once from an unknown number, and did not leave a voicemail. Instead they emailed me saying they tried to reach me, and when I asked them to call me back again they never did. This is the same runaround that I have been receiving for months now.

The service schedules staff and bills without my consent, I have tried several times to contact them about scheduling problems, their system is designed to never have human contact in person, so I emailed them on many occasions, several staff have knocked on my door claiming to have been scheduled despite me letting them know in advance that service in not scheduled. I give them notice in writing yet they billed my card, I changed my card to avoid that but they contacted master card and got the new number and billed it again. I finally cancelled my cards at my bank.The staff that I did use complained of poor treatment. poor pay and offered to work direct for me. The staff that showed up did much the same, when I told them I had not requested service they stared complaining about Handy and being sent to clients homes that did not want them to be there. For a time every week a new person would knock on my door from Handy. I tired contacting them every way possible to no avail.

Upon checking, we can see that you're currently signed up to a bi-weekly cleaning plan. Please note it will automatically generate cleanings unless cancelled. Furthermore, we can confirm that someone from our team previously issued a refund amounting to $185.91 for the services you haven't received. Keep in mind that some of the bookings that weren't completed are paid using the complementary credits we've issued due to the inconveniences you've experienced. As such, we're unable to refund the booking costs of those bookings. But we can refund your January *** booking, since this was recently charged to your card. However, we can only refund the $88.77, since this was the only amount we've taken from your card, which it will take 3-5 business days before it will post to your account, and the remaining $35.47 was credited back to your Handy account as a complementary gift to you. You can use these credits for future bookings.

On the other hand, our record shows that your cleaning plan is still active, should you wish to cancel this, let us know and we'll process it right away.

[Your Answer Here]I have exchanged several emails with them, I demanded they close the account, yet rather than close it they debited my account again, in fact to prevent that from occurring again I went to the bank and cancelled the card, when I got a new card they convinced the card holder to debit the new card. I had to close the new card, change the account to prevent them from charging me again. Then despite the horrible experience they wanted to "charge me to quit them".
That completely outraged me! Despite me sending them emails asking them NOT to send people to my home they did so anyway, over and over again. Their system is designed to have NO human interaction, no human contact at all so you never get a chance to discuss the matter and they respond to emails in a way that shows they did not read your email, they pick from a list of responses and send you a copy and paste response which clearly shows they did not read the email. The situation is false advertising. The system is based on tricks and traps then they charge you to get your freedom from them, it's theft.
I am asking you to formally investigate their service claims, expectations, promises and delivery. I am asking you to formally track and report on their promise.

Please keep in mind that this means we have unsubscribed ***. If you have been receiving emails to a different account, or even the same account with different formatting (we would consider *** different from ***) please let us know and we'll unsubscribe that account as well.
