They came to my house to pickup and transport barrels to Miami, in to process instead of using a dolley to move the barrels to the truck for transport they ust dragged the barrels across my hardwood floor in living room from kitchen to the front door scratching the entire floor in the process. My wife has been going back and forth with them for 6 months and they ust keep playing games and avoiding the the situation , but the damage is done and they caused it so they need to fix the floor. They devalued my property. Thank you
Repair pay to have floor repaired we already have had several estimates, but they said that they were not going to pay
Dear Revdex.com:
I received a complaint from your office regarding CASE#: ***.
Hibiscus Shipping was called to the mentioned home by individuals that occupied that property. We are a moving company that transport items from homes to various countries in the Caribbean. The commodities mentioned in this instance are plastic drums or fiber drums. These drums contained personal effects such as food and clothing that weighs between 200 - 400 lbs.
During the movement of the drums, the landlord gave the authority to host the items within their home rather than within a warehouse. We could not run the dolly (hand truck) on the floor because the dolly would have damaged the floor at that property. Thus, we were asked by the individuals to roll them out of the apartment. During this process, apparently, there was some boards that were left with the imprint (seam) of the bottom of the barrel. Three boards had the imprint.
We decided to rectify the matter by replacing the 3 boards or applying a sanding and varnishing method. The client rejected the offer after we sent someone to investigate this matter. The expert we sent recommended that was the most ideal remedy for the issue mentioned. Hibiscus Shipping offered to explore the possibility of assisting the landlord with fixing the boards since the tenants whom the barrels belonged have returned to their native country.
We were told by our representative who saw the property that damages were minor and would take approximately $400.00 to repair the damage. However, the landlord is asking for his entire flooring to be replaced. This request is not our responsibility and we made this clear to them. They are asking us to pay them between $4000.00 - $8000.00 to repair an imprint.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
*** A.

Did anybody tell Mr.A. that the statements are suppose to be truthful, not fictional. I am the landlord and I didn't give him permission to do anything, he wasn't even at the house. His so called expert that he sent to check the floor was there when the incident happen, but he said he wasn't paying attention, he was doing paperwork(how convient). Then when he came to check the damage again, he told me not to call him anymore, that he didn't want to get involved(to late). Mr. A. was suppose to come to the house numerous times to look at the damage but never showed up, he always had an excuse, and kept putting it off. He'd say next month or 2 months or this isn't the time with the virus. Then he lie about the dolley, they never brought it in the house, just being lazy I guess,it was easier to just drag them from the kitchen across the living room floor out the front door. The best part is when he says 3 boards, they dragged the barrel completely across my hardwood living floor over 25 feet and approx. 16 inches in width of scratch marks. Then he says we reticfy the problem, that never happen, he just wants to get out of it cheap, not repair it the way it was.He telling me I must be drinking something if I think he is going to pay, also that he has an associates degree whatever that is suppose to mean? If the shoe was on the other foot and I came into his house and caused the damage his people did I'm sure he would want it done perfect the way mine was before they came into my house. Then he says the girl that called/payed him for the service should pay half? does that even make any sense. I thought maybe he would be a man, and take responsibility for his company/ employee. God know the truth, and he will pay one way or the other. I ship barrels for many years with different companys and they all used a dolley, except for him, now he wants to shift the blame on everybody else except himself(be a man)he just grabbing for straws right now trying to cover himself. Thank You, *** God knows the truth. I will send some pictures
