This company is fraud. they called my house and my father answered and supposedly my father gave them consent to change my phone service. How can my father make changes on an account that does not belong to him. There is no way of getting a hold of them the only way to contacted them was over their phone that was on my caller ID. I have been dealing with Marvin Johnson to reverse the bill to 0.00 since my father never consented and he is not in the account. He has never returned my call. Please people teach your parents to hang up on this kind of criminals

Review: This company switch my parents telephone provider which was AT&T with no ones consent in my household. The way I found out we were no longer with AT&T anymore was when my telephone service was cut and I had to contact AT&T and asked them what was going on. They explain the situation to me and said Horizon Cellular fax them to cut my service. And sure enough 2 days later we receive a bill for the amount of $150 from Horizon Cellular a company which I have never heard of saying if we did not pay they would take us to collection. I called their customer service number 1-877-669-8282; one of their representative answered and I politely asked her who gave them permission to cut my telephone service and she couldn't give me an answer she just stood quiet. After I few minute I told her if she couldn't answer my simple questions then what they did was consider fraud after a few seconds she hanged up. I try calling them back 5 times and they send me straight to voice mail. I also contacted their "corporate office" and the same thing happened I was send straight to voice mail which I found odd since I was calling during normal business hours. They must of black listed my cell phone number. As a result of Horizon cellular's fraud now I have to pay to get my service restore from AT&T and I also have to wait 7 days so they can recover the same telephone number from Horizon Cellular. They wasted my time and money. Horizon Cellular should be held accountable for their actions.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive $100 to cover the expenses of restoring my telephone service and also for my time, in addition they should seize from sending me to collection. And lastly I would like an apology letter from Horizon Cellular.

Review: I have life-line for $6 a month on a plan, and they called me saying they needed to verify my last 4 of my social, and I did not want to. Later that month after speaking with them, I received a bill that was $61.68, and I was not the $6 I was told.Desired Settlement: I am extremely ill, and need the life line to call the emergency services frequently. They should take me into consideration I wish this invoice to be voided, and pay my normal balance of $6.

Review: This phone company contacted my 80-year old grandmother and switched her telephone services from AT&T to theirs without my grandmother's consent.

This company just mailed a bill to my grandmother; the amount due on 12/07/13 is $66.98. The acct # listed on the bill is XXXXXXXX. My grandma never gave them authorization to switch phone carriers. The most alarming thing is that when trying to reach this Horizon Cellular company at 877-669-8282 (Customer Service) they never pick up. Shortly after the first ring the following message comes on: "License limit, number of allowed calls has been reached - contact administrator." When trying to reach them via their website: www.horizoncellular.com the same thing happens. Their "Contact Us" tab allows you to enter your information but once you hit submit you get the following message: ERROR 404-PAGE NOT FOUND. I was trying to dispute this on my own but how can I help my grandmother if they cannot even be reached. My grandmother is illiterate; therefore, please help us.Desired Settlement: I want this company to close this account effective immediately and I want them to mail a letter to my grandmother stating that she owes them $0.00. I need this in writing just in case they try to send her to collection.

I have contacted AT&T to reinstate my grandmother's phone account with them.

Thank you for your help.

Initial Business Response

Our customer service department spoke with the customer's grand daughter on 12/09/2013. We waived all charges and a zero balance is on the account per customer request. This complaint has been resolved.

Final Consumer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I appreciate the business contacting us regarding this issue. In the future, I suggest that they pay close attention to their business practices. I am sure there are other vulnerable customers out there that are very unhappy with the practices that Horizon Cellular currently hold. Also, I suggest that they have a working contact number and web page; the problem could have easily been resolved without getting the Revdex.com involved.

Thank you.

Review: Received phone call from [redacted] of Horizon Cellular (09/23/13) He claimed they had free phone and free service available for section 8 people from Government. I did NOT give them permission to switch me over to their company. I did not sign any contract. They switched me over anyway and sent me a bill for it.I did not receive any merchandise. I phoned Horizon, 09/26/13, told them did NOT want to be with their company. False Representation.Desired Settlement: That they drop the charges. $46.22

Initial Business Response

We have attempted to call the customer at her home number on October 18, 2013. We left a message on her answering machine advising her that we need to speak with her to resolve the issue. She has not returned our calls or messages, as of October 24, 2013. In order to resolve the issue the customer needs to contact our office. The customer invoice is currently $0.00; however, she must call us in order to not accrue additional charges.

Final Consumer Response

As they requested-

I phoned Horizon Cellular, November 18, 2013. Talked to a representative and she said, I had been removed from their service. Thank you for all your effects in this matter.

Final Business Response

We need to speak with the customer in order to transfer her number back to her original carrier. We do apologize for the confusion and ask that that the customer call us at 1-877-669-8282 and refer to her account# and or name and leave a valid call back number if she calls during non-business hours. The account balance remains at $0.00 as of November 11, 2013.
