I would like half of the amount refunded to meI do not agree with their stance and I am not giving a statement as to what happened to my hair. It seems unprofessional on the part of this business owner to accuse a customer, past or present, of giving information. It is also very unprofessional to go to a persons Facebook page to acquire information that didn't prove anything. If this owner would have looked at all the pictures posted she certainly would have seen many photos with my hair in it's natural curl/wave. However she opted to pick one of the few where my hair was straighter than normal.
Again a refund of half of the amount paid would be a fair resolution to this issue

I never said that no professional has ever applied color to my hair. I mentioned to the stylist that I used to have my hair colored red but it became too expensive so I had to stop. As for the "no curls" that is a complete untruth. She first of all had no right going to my Facebook page and pulling the one photo where my hair was straighter than normal. I sent her a reply with a photo showing the natural curl but she never viewed that response. My entire family, my co-workers and friends can swear on a stack of Bibles that my hair has a natural curl/wave to it. She out and out lied about saying that I never had my hair done professionally, it just has been a while since it was done lastI do not appreciate being called a liar by someone as unprofessional as this woman.
It appears to me that in this case the customer is not right. I honestly did not see the licenses posted at the front of the salon. In other salons I've been to the licenses are normally posted at the stylists station. The defuser is not the big issue either. She never offered to put me under the dryer to bring my curls out. She kept telling the stylist to just straighten my hair. When offered to have my hair curled I agreed - didn't like the way it looked by the way but I went with it. I was surprised at the end cost because I was quoted the color STARTS at $40, no mention in my communication with her did she say how much a cut would cost. Also, first time customers were to get a 20% discount which I do not believe I received. No itemized receipt was given, just a text receipt for my payment. I'm on a limited budget because of a recent divorce, wanted to treat myself and yet get called a liar and feel as if I did something wrong.
I would be happy to copy and paste any communication I've had with the owner via Facebook if you so wish. I wasn't asking for a full refund just a partial refund so I could have my hair repaired to my liking. I don't want her or anyone in her salon touching my hair.

At this point the stylist will side with the owner so she keeps her job or her rental space, not a surprise at all.

Clientcame to our salon for a color service. Per her statement this was the 1st time she ever had her hair colored in a  hair salon. Her hair was previously treated with over the counter products and she wanted to even up the color.Her service price was $65   $45 for her color and $20...

for haircutShe left $10 tip Her hair is extremely fine and there was no signs of curls. When the styling part of the service was being performed she did mention to use a diffuser ( diffuser is a type of hair dryer) I personally stated that unfortunately we don't use that tool in our salon, I also asked if she would like her hair styled straight or curled with the flat iron ( just options). She was actually very nice and said she would like it to be curled with the flat iron.When she left she seem surprised with the price because her initial quote was for $45 and she forgot that we also quoted her haircut for $20Next day she contacted me and said that she would like to have her money back because of the curl situation and because she was told that we had to have our licenses posted and she did not see them. I say that all our licenses are posted by the front desk. Then she mentioned the diffuser and I explained to her that this type of tool is used by choice, State board does not require us to use it and we could instead sit her under the dryer. We tried to be as polite as I could be but she insisted to have curls we honestly did not notice.When our client contacted us it was via facebook. I did not want to be disrespectful but  I had to show her her profile picture.Her hair was pretty straight and it looks like she has a little bit of wave but not curls.There was a estrange story she shared with her stylist as well. She mentioned that she never had curls before but then she had a haircut from someone and her curls starting growing out of nowhere. We decided not to comment on thatWe believe that the service she came for was done with high expectation. We were able to achieve a beautiful and even color she also mentions in her statement without damaging her hair in any way. We respect our clients and we will do what it takes to satisfy their demands. However, we believe that her service was very well done and we are sorry she is not happy.Again, Thank you very much for the opportunity to share our side of the story.
