Review: I took my [redacted] to JJ autoworks for a custom paint job. He has had my vehicle since December. I gave him a down payment of 3000.00 to start the job. He had done nothing, he also lost my car keys. I received a call from HPD saying that I need to pick up my vehicle. There is damage to it and all four tires are missing and my car is now on cinder block because someone stole my tires.Desired Settlement: I want all my money back, plus cost of repairs.

Review: I made an appointment in May of last year to get an estimate and find out if my car could be repainted. I was told that it could be completely repainted and have a lifetime factory warranty. I would also be able to get minor bodywork done and have all rust repaired. The job would take 4-9 weeks. The total was 10,000 half now and the other half could be in payments. I paid 5,000 in Jun and was told that it would be a few weeks until there would be a spot in the shop and he would let me know. I dropped the car off on 18 August. I spoke with the secretary off and on as she was trying to get parts and see about getting the bumpers rechromed. I was told that he was going to Germany to work for [redacted] for a few weeks and expected my complete time to be pushed a few weeks. Begining of November I started inquiring weekly about the completion of my vehicle. I was given a complete date of Thanksgiving. I called his secretary and she said she no longer works for the shop. The end of November came I was told family business came up and it would be before Christmas. [redacted] (the shop owner) told me that he would no longer be able to except payments and I would need to get the full amount. I had the cash by Christmas but still nothing had been done with the car. The delayed deadlines have continued. After 7 months I decided it was enought and I wanted the car back and no longer wanted him to paint it. He will not answer phone calls nor is at the shop. I have called the police several times but they are unable to do anything because he is not there and it is a civil matter.Desired Settlement: I want to get my car out of the shop. I would also like a full refund for the amount of $5,000. There is very minor work that has been done for the last 8 months. I have lost time at work due to dealing with this. Plus I have paid several hundred dollars in rental cars when my second vehicle was in the shop

Review: This auto body shop performed mechanic work to both of my vehicles and was not licensed to do so. Worst my truck is Recon failure per Hawaii law.

JJ autoworks did not advise me of Reconstitution Law of Hawaii. This started august 17, 2012 and again May 2013 when this shop tried to fix both my truck and Mini Cooper. Turns out he only has a trade name registration and has no valid licenses at the dates listed. He willfully engaged in modifications of my truck that he could not perform. Example being my lowering of the trucks suspension. He also tried to fix the collision of my Mini Cooper as a certified shop and now I have rear axel issues and clicking sounds from the rear right panel which he supposedly serviced. I have paid over 20,000 dollars in repairs to this individual and he sold me a service that he was not licensed to do! I have called RICO with this complaint on for them to to tell me after all this time that they will issue him a warning letter for his possible involment. Desired Settlement: I want JJ autoworks to pay for all additional repairs for both vehicles. To include the depreciated value of both vehicles and to give up his unlawful practice of fixing vehicles until properly trained and certifications kept. Additionally, advised of business insurance for these instances which his DBA maybe help accountable like an appropriate business.
